Lol... you're right...in addition, the never ending experiment of changing copper to silver cables or DAPs pairing setup, etc etc... But I'm already no longer going for the ultimate. As long as the pairing sounds good, I'll be fine and will just focus on enjoying my collection of music...

You just got to keep trying with different tips to see how it sound. For example, the 2 on the left are considered wide. I'm currently using the transparent medium wide tip from my old collection from Ultimate Ears. I had another different brand of wide silicone tips that sounded even better...

With any IEMs, always good to experiment with different tips. ES4 is one such example. I didn't like it at first until I changed to wider bore tips, then it became one of my favourite. ZSN however, sounds good with its default tips, so I never bother to try another tips.

Considering between AS10 or ZSN for this 11.11 buy. Will AS10 be a definite upgrade, whereas ZSN may be a sidegrade? I have ZS3, ZSR and ES4. They are all musical to my ears and I am happy with all 3.

DSD files, HiRes 24/96 24/192 files all eats up battery REAL fast! (DSD seriously drain battery!) My estimate would be ~5 hours or less play time if those are the format you are listening to. My own experience, a combination of 16/44.1 flac or wav, plus HiRes 24/96 24/192 flac should last me...

Sorry about my comment, only come to realize the proprietary charging for Sony is just only cable. My pain with Hifiman proprietary charging is having to deal with carrying an expensive 'brick'

Would like to try a Sony (like A45 or ZX300) for the reasons you had mentioned. But what has been holding me back is the Sony proprietary charging cable. I owned a Hifiman HM650 that too uses proprietary charging which I find is a pain.

My one week old AP60 Pro managed another hour of playback time, despite the battery indicator already showing fully empty. Really power huh :wink: I guess an updated firmware will be nice to have.:relaxed:

I had made a few purchases especially on IEMs that had me regretted (TFZ 5s, RE-00, NuForce EDC...), based on the mostly very positive users' 'impression' on their respective threads. Having more comparisons against other similarly price products will be very helpful.

I believe it is the same case as with most manufacturer. Every product can only be allocated with firmware/ bug fix support during the first year. If after the first year, they still couldn't improve on any promised functionality or fix known bugs, the engineers would just forsake, move on to...

Just a suggestion. May be try exFAT formated card, see if the unit can read the cards?

The DAP has no problem playing tracks after tracks and the battery can last at around 8 hrs or more, so both should be working well except that the battery gauge on our units are calibrated wrongly. I would not worry too much on these. Just observe and understand the pattern, take safety...

Mine appears to be able last quite long, play numerous albums/tracks for 2 to 3 days (around 4 hrs per day), battery percentage drops very very slowly from 100% to 50% ...and then just suddenly in the red region of less than 10% when I next look. I think the battery gauge on mine could be off...

I had encountered this before with my flac files. They played fine in proper order in certain DAPs but not in a few other DAPs that I owned. My solution was to use foolbar to convert to wav. I have no idea why though.

Can I be a little more greedy by asking... How's the SQ compare to the likes of 'ultraportable' DAPs example AP60ii, Cayin N3, its own sibling the M1, Megamini or may be Fiio X1ii?
