Make sure the asus stu is grounded. I had a slight buzz when the asus wasnt plugged into my laptop via USB. My laptop had to be powered from AC to make the Asus grounded. In battery mode the Problem was still there- LawsOfEmotion

Hello guys, I ordered a pair of focus-a pads from head-direct tuesday last week. My question is how long does it take for them to actually ship the pads ? It still shows the "paid" status. P.S. I'm living in Europe.- LawsOfEmotion

Philips Fidelio X1 vs DT 880 premium(250 ohm)
Well, i would say the beyerdynamics have obviously more treble. They are famous for their treble peak. And the sennheiser have something like a mid bass bump but that depends on how much bass you want and they dont have the sub bass extension like the DT 880.- LawsOfEmotion

Sennheiser hd600,650?
They are both great sounding headphones to start with. What most people will say is that the Sennheiser HD 600 are closer to neutral but they have a little midbass bump and the HD 650 are a bit bassier than the HD 600. And the treble is a bit tilted down on the 650. Both are smooth sounding...- LawsOfEmotion

Used the Sennheiser HD518 - recommend me a different headphone
One thing you can do is if you have an ipod or iphone try to plug your headphones on them. If it sounds a lot clearer and you have less bass than on your laptops output than your impedance on your laptop is too high. If it sounds the same i guess the headphones just are not for you.- LawsOfEmotion

Used the Sennheiser HD518 - recommend me a different headphone
What is the output impedance of your laptop ? The Sennheiser HD 500 series do not like high impedance outputs. It should be prefereble under 6 Ohms. Anyway if you want to try something less bassy look for akg 701 used or new depends on what the price is in your country.- LawsOfEmotion
