Are the AKG K550 pads similar to the AKG k712?   I saw you can put Audeze pads on the k550, and I'd really love to try that on my k712.

Anyone that says HD800 are bass light are deaf or something. I had them for a while and they're definitely not bass light. They may not be crazy bass cannons, but the entire FR of bass is there, and definitely present, it definitely presents a rumble here and there and some kick when it's needed.

    IMHO at this level of "fidelty" changes are usually minor and never substantial unless the thing you're switching from has some issues of some sort.

    It's still a work in progress, I'm debating on a different case with a bigger window, to show off the hardware better, but I haven't decided which case I want since I have pretty strict criteria!   :D   I'll post a picture of my whole setup when my HD800's come in!
