It really opened up the sound. There is so much bass, that taking the filters off really didn't feel like you are giving up anything. I've tried all the dampeners and like the sound best, with none.

Yes, white sticker off, no filter. Just taking it off the stock pads. It's sticky enough to go back on, no problem.

Flashing the firmware automatically erases the old one and rewrites the new one. Thats all there is to do.

I got my Sundara's a few days ago. I like them! They sound great. Ive tried them with my Atom, Monoprice 788 , 789, Creative ZxR and oppo 205. They sound great with all of them.

Are they level, line and gain matched before you listen to them?

It also doesn't mean there IS an audible difference.... It always seems like the better gear someone has, they instantly have the best hearing.....

You can always tell the audiofools by their used of ridiculous words and phrases to describe sound signatures. They say you need expensive amps, dacs, cables etc, when any real person that enjoys the hobby knows is a crock of crap. We all hear differently day to day, humidity, sinuses, mood...

Bob, I just got my mod kit from Lawton. It took him almost 1.5 months to get it lol I got the pads as well. I was told a week and over a month later when I emailed him, he sent it out a week after that  lol

They sounded pretty damn similar. I couldn't tell them apart. The oppo has more options/connections I'd use, so the burson went bye bye.    That guys review of talking it out of the box, makes me cringe what he'll write when he turns it on..... 80 pages later... lol

  I have both the TH900's and hd800's with the oppo. Both sound awesome. I sold my burson 160d a few days after getting the oppo. Mine gets hot but it's not crazy hot. The Fostex's sound awesome and the 800's sound great even on normal gain with 1/4. I'm very happy with the oppo!

My Lawton mod stuff will be here in a week or so and I've got a friend with a set of 900s, so I'll get to see A/B if the difference is worth it. I love doing that kind of stuff!

IMO the oppo is good enough that I will he selling my burson in the next week or so. Im very happy with it. All my amps sound good with the 900s, the oppo IMO is the best.
