Great post mate but you said the lcd 3 is your favourite so why the lcd x? I personally think that whatever is technically better means nothing if your ears enjoy the other so much more mate

Maybe I'm totally thick here but I only want to buy after market cables for sound quality,I don't understand comfort and design as it's the headphone sitting on my head not the cables so I can't see how comfort makes any difference being just a cable

I gave my dad my grado rs1 and he loves them

It's not the Hugo thread so won't say to much but it's changed my life and want some quality headphones now mate,take it you preferred the lcd x to the lcd 3 plus the Hugo should drive the lcd x better being a lot lower on impedance

My head is proper cabbaged whether to go for the lcd x or the lcd 3 I'll be using it with the Hugo mate

I listened to the lcd 2 the other day and thought they were better than the grado s so can't wait to hear the lcd x

Wonders if the Hugo will be better suited to the lcd x rather than the lcd 3 now it's gone up to 110 impedance,I don't understand why the impedance has gone up yet the lcd x has the fazor and is only 26 impedance,seems like they going backwards with the lcd 3,surely it's better to have more...

You say the new lcd 3, is that with the fazor

I've asked Doug Brady in Warrington if he can get the lcd x and lcd 3 So I can demo them both side by side see which ones I prefer
