The SMC connector is very prone to "rotational torque" as a result from the rigidness / stiffness of the cable. If the latter is flexible (i.e. multi-strand copper with soft insulation) there is no problem.

Never use such connectors.   Especially when driving HE-6 from a FirstWatt-type amplifier.   An accidental pull of the cable could extract the connector from the headphone and could short (damage) the output stage of the amplifier!   The best connector is the Hifiman screw type with a...

IMO, the difference is in the output voltage not current.   Hugo suits especially well with sensitive headphones requiring no more than 2 to 3 V.   These include the low-impedance IEMs and some 50 ohm planarmagnetics.

No. Hugo has only RCA outputs.   Correct me if I'm wrong, but Mr. Rob says that balanced design imposes double the number of components in the signal path, which means more distortion.

Finder X1 owner here. Phones are partnered with Chord Hugo.   Very impressive sonic results, and especially in tranparency field (my reference pair is a modded Hifiman HE-6 on a Firstwatt F5).   Bass is very good as well as dynamics.   Mids are a little distant sounding and with less body...

But what about the tap count in Mojo (with respect to Hugo)?   Will we ever have an answer on that?   Mr. Rob?

For home stereo setup, Hugo is much more open and 3D in sound compared to Mojo.   Source? Raspberry Pi2 (with 5 A LPS) running Moode.

Wrong, This is voltage not power.   If 0 dB = 3 V, then +3 dB = 4.5 V!   For 6 V, gain should be +6 dB.

Tidal has perfect sound on Hugo. Can not separate from red book sound.   BTW, January 13 today and no Finder X1 nor Tidal yet...

I don't know. I never shut down my Hugo after purchase... :)
