I have not had my Grado SR 80x cans long. About 10 days and have been listening to many rock albums and just finished listening to the Quadrophenia album by The Who. I must say that for 80 minutes of this album I was in bliss. The bass of John Entwistle, the drums of Keith Moon, the guitar of...- redlegs75

I know I alluded to this in a previous post but my new Grado SR 80x just makes the music seem so vibrant and alive. I don’t detect any harshness either. Such a fun set of cans. I am getting to the point where I like listening to cans more than my living room speakers. Do any of you also sense a...- redlegs75

Hello all, I received my Grado SR 80x phones yesterday and wow! I love rock music and these are tremendous. Such clarity and separation. I have the Schiit Audio Magni and Modi Dac and Amp driving these. I have been binge listening since yesterday. I have to admit that many albums I have heard...- redlegs75

Hello I have pair of HD 650s and love them. I have also thought of adding a pair of Grado SR 80x. Is it crazy to have 2 different headphones in the stable? Would the Grados be a nice counter to the 650s? Impressions on the Grado SR 80x?- redlegs75

Are the Mid ranges blown?
Hello All, I recently bought for dirt cheap a couple of 80 watt full speakers from the 1980s. They are Sherwood S-2080s. They have a 10 inch woofer, a 5 inch mid and a 2 inch tweeter. I recently noticed that I never hear the mid when I put my ear up to either speaker. I can hear woofer and...- redlegs75

THE DIY HEADPHONE STAND THREAD
Thanks again ... Hope you don't mind but I totally stole your idea :] Last question for you: What do you use to affix the drumhead to the rubber coupling? Hey it looks great!!..........I used Rubber cement to attach the logo. I may remove it and get it laminated. Good Job!- redlegs75

THE DIY HEADPHONE STAND THREAD
First of all, thanks for comments........I got the Beatles Drumhead off of Google Images and just enlarged it to fit the 3 inch coupling. The only thing I might do different, is that I wish I would have had it laminated. I may still do that. Otherwise, I get to look at that famous Drumhead...- redlegs75

THE DIY HEADPHONE STAND THREAD
The 3 inch coupling simply fit over the bracket and the sides of the bracket hold the coupling nice and snug. Do not have to worry about it coming off. Thanks for nice comment. Mike- redlegs75

THE DIY HEADPHONE STAND THREAD
Hello All, I also used the hose rack hook from Lowes, and a 3 inch rubber plumbing coupling. The total cost was around $20. I then got online and searched for the Beatles Drumhead Logo of my favorite band and......voila!.........I love it!..........they hold my Sennheiser HD 439s quite...- redlegs75
