Ten headphones go to the gym! See who comes out on top. :)

If these end up making the cut, you may want to check out the re-brands linked below.  They come with velour headband and earpads, and are so much more comfortable than the 8323 (I have both).  You'd need to swap the plastic earpads from your current 8323 because the velour offer poor isolation...

Headphones for Nu-Metal for under $50?

In your budget, Monoprice 8323 are a good choice (may be your only choice).  Most of the reviews you will read here agree that they are fairly bassy.  If you are in the US, they'll cost you about $30 shipped, ordered directly from Monoprice's website.

    headphone next step

This chart should help you. Click on it to see it larger.  It outlines what sounds generally fall within which frequency ranges.  If you can't read it well here, I found it at: http://dpaudioa.blogspot.com/2011/02/frequency-amplitude-and-eq.html

    mod: Monoporice 8323

I'm contemplating trying some of these mods.  I only wish I understood what each individual modification is supposed to accomplish, so that I can better pick and choose which I'd like to implement.  I have a pair of 8323's, and I have 2 pairs of NXG HTDJ's which are just a better looking...

    MOG alternative

You may want to try Google Play Music All Acess (yeah, the name is actually that long).  Streams are as high as 320Kbps, as long as you have it set to High Quality.  Plus it also incorporates a free locker service that works seemlessly.

What to do with your broken cans (I'm using my AiAiAi 's)

Pretty cool.  Nice re-purposing... functional and practical.

Recommendations for flight travel and overall quality

If you are set on full-sized hp's like the V-Moda's, have you considered just shopping separately for a cable that meets your needs?

    Monoprice 8323 / Kicker HP541 Appreciation Thread

So I just got the NXG HTDJ or Head Trip DJ's that I mentioned above. These are definitely a 8323 rebrand.  Same construction with the exception that they have black brushed aluminum plates on the cups, with a silver colored bevel on the plate.  Also the hinges are fake chrome plated.  The cups...

    Best Student Headphones under $30

What's the exact application?  The 8323 are not regarded as very comfortable for extended listening periods, particularly the headband.  I have a pair and find them fairly comfortable, but they could be better.  As far as durability, they are pretty sturdy, especially for the price-point you are...

    Monoprice 8323 / Kicker HP541 Appreciation Thread

I own a pair of Monoprice 8323, in part thanks to the positive reviews here at Head-Fi.  They really shine once you eq them to sweeten the upper mids.  They are a great bang for the buck!   I recently came across the NXG Technology Pro Dj Headphones (NX-HTDJ) on Amazon.  They were mentioned...

Don't use this eBay Bluetooth Dongle to DIY BT HPs

I'm thinking of doing a similar DIY project with my Monoprice 8323's.  I currently have this BT receiver in my car and it works well and sounds really good to my...
