From what I've heard, my Cyanogen S3 should work with it. I'd like to get one with a USB DAC, as the 3.5 mm jack on my laptop broke a while ago. The e07k is a better price and, as I have no idea what to expect, cheaper is better.- shockasaurus

I'm planning on getting a mobile amp (Fiio e07k) for my RE-400's, so I'll try the 558's with that, but I know next to nothing about amps so I don't want to spend too much on one.- shockasaurus

Thanks for the link. I think I'll see how long the cable is and if it's too long then get the replacement.- shockasaurus

Cool, I was planning on using them primarily at home, but it's good to know that I don't need an amp. I've heard others complain about the length of the cable. Have you found it to be a problem?- shockasaurus

If this is the case, I think I'll go with the 558's. They're cheaper, and the styling of the 598's is kinda off-putting. Thanks!- shockasaurus

Many newly acquired headphones for a noob. Any advice would be much appreciated!
It's no problem. I don't have an amp, (I'm new to this hobby) and I might use these on the go, so I'm leaning toward the 598.- shockasaurus

How to you think the treble on the 598 compares to the Q 701? I've been looking for a set of open-backs to use at home.- shockasaurus

Has anyone here listened to both the 558's and the 598's? I'm debating between the two and am interested in the differences in sound.- shockasaurus
