  After listening to these, I can safely say I've been bitten by the bug.

The 558's arrived yesterday, and oh man do these sound great!  (Excuse the lack of quality, photo was taken with my phone.)

  From what I've heard, my Cyanogen S3 should work with it.      I'd like to get one with a USB DAC, as the 3.5 mm jack on my laptop broke a while ago. The e07k is a better price and, as I have no idea what to expect, cheaper is better.

I'm planning on getting a mobile amp (Fiio e07k) for my RE-400's, so I'll try the 558's with that, but I know next to nothing about amps so I don't want to spend too much on one.

Alright, decided to jump on it and order them. Should be here in a few days, I can't wait!

  Thanks for the link. I think I'll see how long the cable is and if it's too long then get the replacement. 

Cool, I was planning on using them primarily at home, but it's good to know that I don't need an amp. I've heard others complain about the length of the cable. Have you found it to be a problem?

If this is the case, I think I'll go with the 558's. They're cheaper, and the styling of the 598's is kinda off-putting. Thanks!

It's no problem. I don't have an amp, (I'm new to this hobby) and I might use these on the go, so I'm leaning toward the 598.

How to you think the treble on the 598 compares to the Q 701? I've been looking for a set of open-backs to use at home.  

Has anyone here listened to both the 558's and the 598's? I'm debating between the two and am interested in the differences in sound.
