Thanks. I had forgotten to check those settings. My default is 32bit 192k. I am not sure if this changed from previous OSX but I'll reset the NVRAM as well. Won't hurt to do that.

I have had issues with mine after updating to osx sierra. I have not updated the firmware so that'll be my first step but anyone else experience issues? I have had to unplug my iDSD a couple of times to resolve static issues. I am using the blue USB cable that came with the device.

Is there a fix for audio not working on Chrome? I am using my mbp 10.11.6 OSX and do not get any sort of audio using Chrome. It does work with Safari and Firefox. I have tried disabling flash on Chrome but no dice.

All of the review of the 4490 have me sold. I had gotten a Modi 2U since some have said it is a mini bifrost but that wasn't the case for me. It did not mix well with my Lyr and HE400. Sound was harsh and bright. Took the fun out my music listening. Currently in the process of returning it back...

After reading a bit more on the 4490 on the bifrost I am going to take the plunge. Currently sending back my Modi2U to use the money to get the bifrost. Lots of high regards for the 4490 and most seem to be really enjoy the better sound stage and punch you get from it.

I know that the HE400 are bright but they just seem brighter now with the switch to a Modi 2U. I am connecting the Modi 2U via usb to my win10 pc. I am using foobar for my flac files and spotify premium. Amp is the same, Lyr. 

Not sure what it is but it is just to harsh for my  HE400. Did not notice this before with a first gen modi. I'm using the exact same audio sources.    Would I see the same thing on a bifrost? 

Found a USB cable so going to see if the sound is any different. Was using toslink previously. Otherwise I'm going to sell this and find something else.

Recently got a Modi 2U and like some have said it is brighter. It is clearer for sure but with my HE400s it does not help much. I may need to look into something else or EQ a bit to tone down the brightness.

What is a good amp for these? I currently have a magni+modi stack for my HE-400 and looking to get these. I have been thinking of upgrading my stack to a vali 2 or asgard so curious if these benefit better from tube or SS amp. Any thoughts?

Which spinfit model do you need to get for the Dunu 1K?

Yup the Lyr is tube based. Now to test out the stock tubes and then get into the world of tube rolling.
