Thanks for sharing, looks a very good hybrid opamp, though much higher in height than the hybrid Burson V5i, so it may not fit well in some designs. However, some head-fiers might still prefer discrete op-amps instead of hybrid ones, hence V6 and V7 remain a very good choice for audio devices...

By looking inside Violectric V380² I see that the transformer has 2x18 VAC outputs, so I assume that 2x18 VDC are powering the op-amps and the output stage too. Take care on overheating and maybe damaging those V6 and V7, given that V6 can't support voltages above 33V (+/-16.5V). Same about the...

I can assure you that Soloist 3X Grand Tourer is one of the fewest amps able to drive these cans to their full potential, so I totally recommend this amplifier to pair with ABYSS or with any other hard-to-drive pair of headphones. Now I'm listening to OSI since about an hour, it's past midnight...

I might try adding some soft padding under the fan to see if the noise will decrease, but lowering fan speed is totally not recommended given that internal temperature can dramatically increase.

Voyager has a fan too, but its size, placement and the aerodynamics inside makes it virtually noiseless.

With all the upgrades you have done (5A Supercharger, V7 op-amps, SP2 modules) I think you're pretty close to it, so no worries about. :)

Given the smaller size, the outer aluminum case / heatsink and the higher bias current I would anytime vote for the V7 Pro. But now, depending on the audio equipment and the actual stage where you'd like to swap op-amps, the sound differences may not be perceived.

The gain stage (or voltage amplification stage) should benefit most of the op-amps upgrade in amplifiers, but in some devices the input and output stages could be "sensitive" to op-amps upgrades as well.

I had them tried in Soloist 3X GT 2023 here and I find the combination of Vivid + Classic as sounding a bit better for my taste, but YMMV.

If you're happy with the sound then leave it as it is, but if you happen to borrow a six-pack of V7 then give it a try and do let us know if you like how it sounds. For me the 3X GT 2023 seems to sound a bit more detailed with the V7 Pro vs. the V6.

Hmmm...you might be better off if you would drop an email to Burson, just in case they might figure out for you a vendor on your continent. You might need to wait a bit more, but this way you might save some money.
