The Stax Thread III
This mirrors what I found out as well. When I first got my KGSSHV 2 months ago I daisy chained it via my GS08 amp with the Theta Dspro Gen V(a) feeding it. While it was really good but didnt wow me. But when I took the GS08 out of the chain and hooked up the HV directly to the DAC, I was...- nazrin313

Yeah my old Srm252s, sounded way ok at low volumes but trouble came when its past 12, distortion city I tell ya. But I guess, we already know the 252s cant drive the hungry beast. Only did it cos it was the only Estat amp I had at the time while waiting for the KSSSHV to arrive- nazrin313

ZMF Aeolus Impressions thread
My good friend's set and he let me demo it for the night. From listening to some test tracks from Jazz, Bop, Electronica, etc it sounded amazing!! For my ears, its like an aggressive HD650, details were all there, rounded, punchy and drilled to my brain. Good thing is its never sibilant and...- nazrin313

DX200 with AMP 4 ...drives the Auteurs easily well, its to be expected. No DAP i have heard, regardless of price, can sound as good as my Desk Rig. But the DX200 is pretty good for a DAP, excellent actually- nazrin313

I can feel they are heavy, but when I put them on, it'll disappear. I think its to do with the perfect weight distribution. Pads are damn nice too.- nazrin313

Been reading alot of ppl saying that the Blackwood Auteurs are heavy, but I think they are just fine. I can use em for hours on end, its very comfortable and the weight (for me) has been an issue- nazrin313

Been listening to a couple of albums of "Youngblood Brass Band" lately and the Auteur sounds overly impressive, transients seem on point, attack, decay, treble bite!! on point! What's magical is the Auteur's 3D soundscape, the instruments the band is playing are attacking my brain from all sorts...- nazrin313
