I don't hear any noise or crackling on my X5 on any of my 10+ headphones/IEMs. It's very likely that you have a faulty unit. The X5 is well known for its black background.

The only logical explanation must be that it is a bug extremely difficult to solve from a firmware programming point of view. I'm happy with the cumulative improvements, though. However, the 2x128GB mSD owners will not be so happy to learn this file limit was not addressed.

Of course it is a bug. No audio player that I know would skip the first two seconds of a song for any reason whatsoever. At the most, it would delay the start of the song for those two seconds, but the song would play from the very first second. This is a top ten X5 bug for me.
