HD 598 vs HD 600 (which has more detail)
interesting. I think the hd600 sounds great for most types of rock, especially with compression or an unbalanced mix. The detail cans like the K702 struggle much more.- sweets3450

AKG K702 Headband mods
This has to be the easiest, cheapest, most easily replaceable solution to the K702 headband. Bonus comfort if you cut off the bumps. 3 layers of paper towels. Makes them just about as comfortable to the Philips X1.- sweets3450

I've read a lot of reviews here and I think innerfidelity gives the most honest and accurate review. They sound very open, heavier on the bass side though not sacrificing mids-highs, are very very comfortable, are easy to drive though an amp is required, and are a great value for the price.
