    Repair or replace broken HD600?

Finally received the replacement parts today after a misunderstanding with the distributor (it was my fault). I got two HD650 units for 135€ + shipping. I wish I could document the switch with pictures but my camera is useless. The HD650 units are heavier, but are mounted in the exact same way...

    Repair or replace broken HD600?

I ringed a distributor in Paris who should send me the goods tomorrow. He said that the capsules for the HD600 and the HD650 were the same, and that they came in at 57€ a pair. It's the complete opposite of everything I knew, and kind of confusing, but I'll wait and see.

    Repair or replace broken HD600?

@ kramer5150 : Although I suspected the replacement capsules were the same for the HD600 and the HD650, it is apparently not the case. They are the same for the HD600 and the HD580, though.   Source   The replacement capsules for the HD650 are not listed on the site, but only in this...

    Repair or replace broken HD600?

@ kramer5150: I've checked those out and they seem ok. It's not an intermittent connection, it's a loss of volume. One capsule is 78€ but I need two, since the replacement part (System 300R) is not the same as the one in my headphone.   @ KG Jag: Right now I'm looking at the AKG K701...

    Repair or replace broken HD600?

Hi everyone,   Back in July 2013, I purchased Sennheiser's HD600 following your recommendations. Thanks again for that. I really enjoyed them.   Now the right ear doesn't seem to work properly anymore. I'm fairly certain it's the driver since swapping ears swaps the problem from right to...

Time for a careful, well thought out upgrade.

So I felt that it was time to act and I bought the HD600 second hand (for 150€ + shipping). I felt that it was a good first buy with its unamped drive capability and amped scalability.

Time for a careful, well thought out upgrade.

I must admit that I have trouble forgetting the HD800. Regarding the Sennheiser, can I consider the range from HD518 to HD650 as 'equivalent but better' or are there differences in sound signature? I'm reluctant to go to the shop again, they are busy with redecorating the whole thing and I...

Time for a careful, well thought out upgrade.

I'm back at last!   Could not thank you for your input before I left so ... thanks!   While I was away I had the opportunity to try the Audio Technica ATH-500X, M50, AKG K171 and K77, the Beats Pro and Studio, BeyerDynamic DT770Pro, Denon D600, Sennheiser HD518, HD558, HD598, HD600...

Time for a careful, well thought out upgrade.

Thanks for this valuable input!   BillsonChang007, I checked out the PSB and they do not look the part in terms of comfort in robustness. I still put them on my paper list to check out in person. I did find them at 115$ at meritline.com or 160€ at cobrason.com. I couldn't find the Logitech...

Time for a careful, well thought out upgrade.

Hello \o This post is to ask for help picking new headphones. I have surfed the interwebs in a quest for new cans for a while now, so I'll make a few suggestions and hopefully you can prevent me from picking the wrong set, or maybe even tell me about a product I have not yet stumbled upon...

    Hello world,

Hello Head-Fi community, Like many, I am registering on these forums to seek advice. But for now I'll just introduce myself briefly. I've been listening to music (and playing videogames) using a Prodipe PRO800 that I got a long time ago. They were about 90€ so I figured it would be a good...
