Are my Meelectronic M6's defective?
Just got them yesterday night. First thing i did was pull out the memory wire (which was a cakewalk). Next thing I did was listen to them. Trying to put the right driver in my ear, i hear this crinkling sound, sounds exactly like the speaker is deforming under the air pressure from getting a...- skev13

Those of you with an iPod Touch...
What kind of case do you guys use? I'm gonna have a screen protector and a best skins ever backing on my touch, but I'd like to get some sort of case as well. I'm leaning towards something leather (case or folio), or a clear case. No silicon for me. I'd also prefer if the dock was...- skev13

Woke up this morning, grabbed my iPod as usual, and hmm, the left side is completely dead? I've had these d-jays for 2 months, grabbed them from Audiocubes. What do i do? Do I contact audiocubes or Jays? I wonder if I can upgrade to a set of q-jays....- skev13

Customs Screw-up - what to do?
I recently recieved my package from Audiocubes, and in audiocubes fashion, they mark the package as "Gift" and "Audio Accessories" and send it via EMS from Japan. I was charged $20 today for my package, and when I checked out the Canadian Customs declaration papers, I noticed they marked the...- skev13

UM2 vs D-Jays?
So I no longer commute to school, thus I don't think I'll be using my UM2's as much anymore. I was looking at the D-Jays as a cheaper alternative to my UM2's. I've never heard the D-Jays, but impressions have them distinguished for its simularities to the SR-60's? Question is, will I...- skev13

Smallest DIY headphone jack?
I'm looking for the smallest DIY headphone jack, so the likes of the ones on the Vibes and the iBuds. Do these exist in the DIY world? Or do I have to use a regular one like Neutrik, and make my own casing for it...- skev13

Removing a locked Doorknob
So I'm moving into this place tomorrow, but I have one problem. The previous tenant locked the door behind her after moving stuff out, and didn't leave a key. How do I remove the whole doorknob, or open the door to remove the doorknob properly? I don't expect to reuse this doorknob, so...- skev13

Grado Rod Locks
Has anyone ever modded this sucessfully? Would simply drilling a hole and applying an allen bolt, with prolongued use simply strip the plastic casing, and render the mod useless over time?- skev13

Closed, Comfortable, Circumaural Portables
Basically, I need Bose Triports at NON Bose Triport prices. Triports fit exactly how i want a headphone to fit. Now I need to find something thats more within my price range (Sub $75) Any Ideas? Sound Wise, I'm a grado man, so anything remotely close to that (I know not possible...- skev13

Laptops: headphone out --> amp = useless?
I'm thinking of building an amp soon, but it would be powered by my headphone out on my laptop (mini to rca). Is this redundant? Should I be using a USB DAC instead? Thing is, i'll probably be using speakers half the time, which I usually plug into the headphone out of the laptop, and I would...- skev13

iPod killing my Windows
I own one of those iPod docks, and usually I just leave my iPod sitting in the dock, which is connected to usb until I need to use the iPod. Basically a while ago, I started noticing that leaving the iPod in the dock, then booting up my PC (iPod is off, but the turning on of my PC would provide...- skev13

Those of you in the UK...
Have you guy's ever seen this scratch and win card bundled with this month's Stuff Magazine? (UK version) I seem to have won, but I think its ********. I'm also in Canada so I can't claim anything, so this thing is headed to the garbage bin, unless its actually somewhat worth something...- skev13

Applying the Invisible Shield
just did it to my 5G Nano, and uh, the corners don't stick? Or do they eventually adhere to the nano and stuff? the bottom of the back piece is kinda hanging and wont stick the nano either... Kinda wouldn't wanna ask for a replacement, it already cost me enough due to customs- skev13

UM2 + 5g iPod = no no?
Contemplating on getting UM2's, because I'm looking for some more bass and high end versus a load of midrange from my E4c's. Also looking for an IEM that sits flusher, and can provide the same sort of isolation. I've been told that either the UM2's sound like crap unamped out of the iPod...- skev13

06-07 NHL Preview
So I picked up The Score's Sports Forecaster for a long bus ride yesterday, and I was reading some of the upcomming NHL Predictions. Some of the predictions I think are bang on, and some are just ridiculous. One of the ridiculous ones is them having Montreal finish 14th in the conference...- skev13

Thinking of Stickin my foot into DIY Amps
Firstly, I'm gonna call myself a decent DIYer. I say decent because I don't wanna get way over my head, and tackle a project I can't handle. I've been thinking of making an amp, preferably something that would match well with Grado's. Cost however, is very important. (Oh how the wallet is...- skev13

Which Grado Next?
Well I got the SR80 about 3-4 weeks ago, and I absolutely love it. I'm looking to save up for a Grado upgrade. What is next? I want something agressive, yet able to seperate instruments. I would love a woodie, like an RS-2, but the RS-1 might be too expensive for me. What would be the best...- skev13

How do you wear your Shures?
I tried to wear mine the loop over ear way, but the loop keeps slipping out of my right ear. (guess my ears are too small) If i wear them the regular way, I lose the seal after a while with the foamies because the cable is too heavy, and pulls down on the buds.- skev13
