Yeah the headphones are slightly siblant and also Ivan moody isn't the best singer so he probably doesn't know how to sing and make s and fs sound a little more bearable. It could also be a mixing problem. A7x has this same problem but I find it even worse with them.

I don't disagree wth you I just like how portable the amperior is and the construction is sturdy.

The bass response also sounds good to me but can sound mono tonal in rap songs. TheseIMHO are the best rock and metal headphones and aren't as good for really bassy rap.

The mids sound very sharp to me and can be harsh. However they are very accurate with distortion on guitars. Listening to the guitar intro in korn's coming undone at high volumes is a little rough.

I got my Amperiors and with 20 hors of burn in they sound amazing! I wish the vocals were a little more forward, but overall I'm sooooo happy!

Get the amperiors on amazon for $217 and call it a day. They are the updated hd 25-1 II and currently they cost less than the hd 25-1 II!

Yeah I really wanted to make sure i was buying the right ones. I thought i was sure i wanted the mdr 1r until I found out about the vents on it that leak some sound. That's when I discovered the amperior!

When I'm done with my headphones on my amp ill be taking them out each time so I can then use them with my iPod so that shouldn't be a problem but ill keep that in mind.

Yeah I have a line 6 spyder III and it does pop so this is really good information that I wouldn't have known!
