    I joined the drop also,talk to one of the lucky ones that reviewed it and they mentioned it sound a lot like the 400i than the 400/400s.They were making a strong comparison with the HD 600 which itself is a strong endorsement of the 4XX.If it is 90% as good as the HD 600 with better bass I be happy.

    There is absolutely nothing out there for the price as good as the 598se and like any headphones a good setup will bring out the strength in the headphones.If you planning to use them for gaming and running directly off say a ipod it still sounds good but it really shines with a tube setup.
