Sure, i will probably end getting the amp first, got a MKIII. And later a DAC.

I want to move them away from my desktop to a more relax area. Apart from my sound card, i don't have another amp to drive them. And i want to try a tube amp. The perfect combination to get a new amp.

I'm using a Zx to drive mine without a problem, until i can get a better amp/dac. If you got the Zx, connect them directly to the sound card not to the dock with the mic and volume control.   A little piece of advice , turn the volume down to 20% before using the Q701.

  I'm fairly new to the audiophile world, at the moment I don't have a proper setup for headphones at the moment, my HD 598 is connected to my Sound card ( Sound Blaster Zx). Now i got a good reason or excuse to start one jajajaja.

Well after that amazon deal my HD598 got a new partner.   Now i need to save for a amp/dac combo, got my eye on that O2 and Schiit Modi/Magni combo.
