Audeze LCD-4
Just because silver costs more than copper does make it sound better. Oh and I sell Nordost BTW. But I do sell pure silver cables too.- s4s4s4

Grado RS1i Impressions thread
Maybe I am lucky and a very nice pair of 325i's, have read so much bad about them being paint peelers but mine sound pretty good, not Audeze smooth obviously, still brighter than PS500's but not offensive.- s4s4s4

Grado RS1i Impressions thread
Just tried the rs1's for the first time, compared them to the 325's. I was very surprised, they were brighter, annoying and had less bass. they look great, but what a disappointment. Do they need some kind of break-in or something? not a big believer in break-in.- s4s4s4

The HeadAmp GS-X and GS-X MK2 Thread
I think I really need to hear the GS-X and especially the 009's. Like I have said before, loving my BHA-1/ HD800 combo, but maybe I should check out what I may be missing. And yes, love the BDA-2, about to order a second one, its really good.- s4s4s4

The HeadAmp GS-X and GS-X MK2 Thread
Schiit for sure, Yes they sound nice and cuddly but less face it they sound like you used a compressor, an equalizer on the bass and stuffed some dirty socks between the drivers and your ears compared to HD800's.- s4s4s4

The HeadAmp GS-X and GS-X MK2 Thread
Never heard the SR-009's but if they are that much better than the HD800's why even bother with the rolled off, dynamically compressed LCD-3's.- s4s4s4

New headphone amplifier from Bryston
I Have, and feel it sounds as good or bad as what you send to it, dead nuts neutral to my ears. I think some people want all their music to sound smooth. Some music however is bright, edgy and harsh (or the recording). Think a lot of products out there have a purposely tailored tonal...- s4s4s4

Back on topic, the BHA-1; Comes with a retail store's support (unlike most other products out there these days), drives most anything, good looks and build, flexible inputs and outs, 20 yr warranty, and most of all great sound all for only $1200. There may be something out there you...- s4s4s4

Everyone needs to calm down and enjoy what they love the sound of best and talk about it in a sane fashion or this thread will be locked soon. Long live the great SS amps, GS-X, BHA and the like. Oh, and I would love to listen to one of those GS-X's one day. Had some fun last night...- s4s4s4

HD800 vs HE500
Just comparing both now (for the second time), The HD800's are simply better at almost everything, IMHO.- s4s4s4

Everything is usually relative for us humans. One man's bright is another man dull, it comes down to what its compared to. Usually electronics are compared to other electronics. Is one bright or the other dull, that's up to the listener to decide. I have been in the industry...- s4s4s4

How many hours straight can you wear a "comfortable" set of headphones?
Its directly proportional to the amount of beers drank while listening, especially when using Grados. HD800's, hour after hour no probs.- s4s4s4

Focal Grande Utopia EM
Not EM's, but I like mine. To each their own, always gonna be potentially something better out there. The only thing that matters is if the speakers you own sound good in YOUR room, if not change the room or speakers.- s4s4s4
