I have zero listening fatigue with them, but I know everyone is sensitive in different regions and I certainly have experienced it myself with MANY headphones. Also, of course amp pairing will play a role as always.

Same, I've sold all my open backs in favor of the 600. They are that good. Others for me detail a little better, soundstage etc but it eventually fatigues and just I always felt like the HD600 did most of the sound without any fatigue. It captures what I need and rolls off the harsh bits up top...

I've never tried or heard the PURE so I can't really comment on them. Personally. I'd recommend the HFI 780 since I know it to be excellent for EDM but I also doubt PURE would miss the mark too much, either.

Exactly and a lot of those "upgrades" come with their own drawbacks like more treble extension and stuff but you end up with a more fatiguing headphone for longer listening sessions... I believe the HE-500 and HD-600 get me very close without going overboard.

They need to make those Merino leather pads have some more depth - for me that was the most annoying part of the comfort on the Master - the shell would rub up on the outer ear and eventually cause discomfort. Vegan pads didn't share that problem so I ended up using those instead.

It does, you can drain as much you want out of a wallet but IMO this is the best bang for the buck for everything. Both well balanced dynamic / planar combo so you're set. I also feel like if I was being real minimalistic here, I could live with one or the other. The 500 IMO is the better...
