  This seems to be a software issue, where you need to exit the music app, or it'll keep the amp powered on and drain the battery. My little testing has shown that exiting the tidal, spotify or usb audioplayer app mitigates this issue. I believe Echobox has confirmed this and are working on a fix.

  The fact that it is charging is sadly not a way to diagnose a connection problem, as the power and the data connection is not happening on the same USB pins. In my case it was not a physical connection problem, but a bad host controller in my laptop.

Not really.   I found out two thimgs though, mainly the fact that the usb host controller on my laptop is very unstable, so alot of the problem disapeared on another pc. secondly the dac got more stable in the newest firmware. I've since sold my x3 and gotten a creative e5 instead.

i don't think that bluetooth would be good for something like the H8, but for a Music One for a daily commute, wireless would be awesome combined with the comfort of cIEM.   Battery on the earin is really short, but they are also quite a bit smaller than a cIEM, so it should be possible to...
