For anyone still interested, this page gives a clear breakdown of the differences between all the different editions of the SE535s: shure.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/4271

    Shure SE535 connector broken/stuck (pic)

I have the same issue with my SE535s. I always thought those connectors looked a little too delicate... I've contacted Shure and will update here with the results. It might be a little more difficult in my case as I have the red limited edition ones.   EDIT: according to the document they...

[Impression] FiiO X3 – High Fi, Low Price.

I assumed the fault was with the X3 or its micro-USB port, as I had the same issue with an E17 and changing the cable made no difference. With the X3 though I tried a different cable as suggested here, and it seems to be working fine! Thanks for the advice; should have just tried it myself...

[Impression] FiiO X3 – High Fi, Low Price.

When using my X3 as a DAC, the slightest movement of the device/USB cable breaks the connection, and in order to get it to function as a DAC again I have to remove the USB cable, turn off the X3, then plug the cable back in again. This makes it extremely annoying to use as a DAC, unless I can...

More Fiio X3 64GB MicroSD Issues!

That did the trick -- much appreciated! If I turn it to Auto will it automatically add any new files I put on the microSD to the Play All list??

More Fiio X3 64GB MicroSD Issues!

Sorry if this issue has been raised before, but when I try to use the 'Play All' function on the X3, it only shows the tracks stored in the internal memory -- none of the ones on my 64GB microSD card. Is there a way to resolve this? Thanks.

[Impression] FiiO X3 – High Fi, Low Price.

You're right, there is a lot of contradictory advice. Fairly sure that keeping within 20-80 is still generally the safest bet though. Would also appreciate an official line from FiiO!

Hmm, yes, I'm sure you're right. The only thing is that being charged above 80%, or below 20%, tends to harm batteries, so I like to keep my devices charged within the 20%-80% range.

[Impression] FiiO X3 – High Fi, Low Price.

is there any possibility of having a feature added to turn off USB charging? at the moment i'm put off using the X3 as a USB DAC because i'm worried the constant charging when connected via USB will cause the battery to deteriorate faster. it would be good to just be able to turn off charging...

    Shure SE535 replacement cable

I've tried a few of these 'upgrade' cables, and I don't believe any of them make an appreciably positive difference. It's all a bit of a scam designed to exploit audiophiles. Save your money! I recommend using Logitech's cross-compatible UE 900 cables for SE535s, as they have the most ergonomic...

    FiiO E17 headphone jack

Sorry to bump this old thread, but could someone confirm whether the issue with these jacks is just that they come loose, or that they are susceptible to some kind of interior damage?   What I mean is, if I resolder my (now detached) jack properly, will it work normally again (currently no...

    Shure SE535 replacement cable

Apparently this is "beyond" the Baldur MKII: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Beyond-BALDUR-MK2-Nordost-silvering-ODIN-cable-SHURE-535-UE900-TF10-WESTONE-W4-/111007581716?pt=Other_MP3_Player_Accessories&hash=item19d8914614. Also, "the work can be described as a super solid." I'm not sure whether this...

    Shure SE535 replacement cable

@smnfs I'm tempted by the Echo series one. Works out about the same as the Baldur MKII/III incl. shipping, but looks like it's much better constructed. Did you just go for pure copper wires? I'm not convinced it makes any difference; what I'm most interested in is getting a cable that will...

    Shure SE535 replacement cable

Long-time lurker, first-time poster. Sorry to bump an old thread, but I was wondering if anyone else had a stock or 'upgrade' Shure cable to sell? And also whether anyone knew whether the MKIII Baldur cable was any good -- description seems to admit it's basically the same as the MKII...
