They are clearly heavier than my k430s and hd800s but not uncomfortably so.  This is a result of the planar-magnetic design......magnets are heavy.....and the materials chosen for the shells and headband.  My biggest quibble is with the way the cable connectors are designed and...

I use the velour pads...didn't like the fat bottom end of the pleathers....I found removing the dust screens from the pads and the grills improves the top end. Very pleased with the result.....its not subtle. Cheers! Gus
