I've got a regular 535 plus one of the real JPN only 535-LTD. Those get just about no ear time since I got the 846. And those get very little time between my K10 and Savant. The differences are immediately noticeable, I have to say (I don't exactly have golden ears).   Rob

I use my K10's with either my AK100II or AK120ii in balanced mode and can't say I see any reason to do more with either. I think I'm more or less in th same position. They received my molds on 12/25/2014. So they received them when I was on holiday. Now they're on holiday and my 8 weeks stretches to 9-10 weeks which sucks, yeah. So in the meantime I'm having my weak SR71b battery replaced and otherwise upgrading...

Very similar to my thinking. I have had my 846 for about two weeks. I also have SE535LTD-J and normal 535 refiltered with Knowles filters to be just a tad brighter than the -J. I found the 846 slightly lifeless with the blue filters but wonderful with the white. My 535's now sound weak...

There is a caution on the SanDisk cards, btw: - Reformat into file system other than exFAT may cause instability - Only compatible with SDXC enabled device in exFAT format per SD Standard That said, my X3 seems to work fine with the 64GB card formatted to fat32. Rob

Mostly it's attached via optical to my Mac Pro to drive my hd650 headphones. But I tried the X3 via coax and my se535ltd-j earphones. On low gain, volume was straight up or less. About what I would expect on optical. Rob
