    great review!  How is the background noise on this product?  Any hiss with no music playing when used with a sensitive can or IEM?

    @Trastan Do you run into any noise floor issues with your TH900?  Any hiss or buzz when there is no music playing?   I have a TH900 (re-cabled with balanced XLR) and Mjolnir1, but could not resolve the issue of getting a very slight buzz when there is no music playing. I suspected ground loop...

    ClieOS,   Thanks for all your help on this thread here. Can you comment on the noise floor of X3? How "black" is the background when using low impedance BA IEMs?  AK100's are known for how silent they are, and was wondering if X3 achieves a similar level of low noise floor.

    Yes, I have. They said they were aware of the issue with Windows 8, but did not tell me when they will have a Windows 8 compatible driver.

    I tried re-installing but did not work.  I tried using the using with another Win 7 machine I have, and the driver worked fine, so I think this is a Win 8 support issue...

    I just upgraded my PC to Windows 8.  Then Nuforce's asynchronous USB driver for DAC-100 no longer seem to work and DAC-100 is not recognized by the PC at all.  Has anyone encountered this problem?  Do you know if Nuforce will be updating their driver soon?
