Anyone have info on how to contact the zishan? I made the mistake of sliding the board out of the case ion the zishan 4497 in the wrong direction and ended up ruining the lcd screen. Trying to figure out if they have replacement upper board with the lcd attached or replacement lcd alone.

Devodonaldson sparked and idea... Still had one of these monoprice 15494. Just for the heck of it hooked it up to the m300. Plugged my phone in.....Monopher cable. To my amazement this stick packs a punch and drives them nicely.

Nice look with the wrap.  I haven't gotten the chance to get those caps in.  Been busy with work and family.  Hopefully get it done with in this month or so.

The best way I have found to remove the op amps would be to take a pair of cheap precision tweezers and bend the tips inward.  To remove the op amps hook the tips under the op amps and pull straight up.  Don't rock it back and forth or else the pins will bend.   As for the amp...still running...

tested these two op amps from Texas Instruments  LM4562 and LM49860.  The LM4562 seems a little dry, LM49860 sounding great with my classic string instruments.  Like the sound better than the BB opamps.

Well....I was pleasantly surprised yesterday when my dac arrived in the mail after a 5 month trip to China.  As I previously posted I didn't think I would ever see it again.  It came back with a different power supply and a silver (originally black.)  I am giving it a few days of listening...

I have given up on this brand...emailed the company and no one replied on the status of my repair.  I did purchase the sap III headphone amp and have been experimenting with different op amps.  So far the amp has been holding up well.

Well..tried to contact SMSL-audio.com.  No reply...guess I would avoid their products if you are not willing to take a gamble.  I still have one of the sapIII desktop amps that is performing nicely.  Would have been a good head to head review with the 1955+ dac with the sapIII amp vs the schitt...

Wow...impressive numbers.  But this is just my opinion....this is probably for those who listen to sound....not to music.  My point is there comes a time when you pay so much to specs and numbers that you end up enjoying sound...compared to music that may inherently have some flaws that give it...

Interesting...I wonder if there has been any changes to the internal drivers?  I bought these a few months back ago when they were listed as the 8320 in black.  Just be sure to burn them in for a while...100+ hrs.  They sounded mediocre initially so I burned them in and put them away for awhile...

Just an update.  I sent my unit back to where I bought it from kidultdiagnostic.com and they shipped the unit back to the smsl factory.  Waiting to on the unit to be repaired and sent back.
