Chicago area Headphone Meet - January 28th 2017 "ChiUniFi"

I'll be there. I'm shopping for some decent closed cans for work and travel. I'm hoping any of the following cans might make an appearance:   -  Oppo PM-3 -  Shure SRH-1540 -  Fostex TH-X00 (Massdrop) -  Sony MDR-7520 -  Sennheiser Momentum   Thanks in advance!

Sure! You can try out the Beyerdynamic Dt 770's and the ATH-M50x cans at Guitar Center. There are a number of these stores, and I know there's one near you in Arlington Heights. You might want to call ahead to see what they have in stock. I think there are 4 or 5 Guitar Centers in the northwest...

Recommendations On an Inexpensive $10-$40 IEM with Preferably Semi-Flat Frequency Response?

Zero Audio Carbo Tenore were the only IEMs the guys at Schitt recommended to me (under $100). Their reasoning was value/price ratio. I paid $35 for mine. I've had a pair of Sennheiser CX500's at my workstation for years. $29 on Amazon. Hard to beat these IEMs for that price.

Hello All,   I’m starting this thread to solicit thoughts and advice on a new pair of cans. I’m in the market for a pair of closed-back headphones. I need something with little-to-no leakage as I will be using them primarily at the office, and for occasional business trips/vacations. Here are...

    USB cable and Sound Quality

Getting to this thread pretty late with my own anecdote. Been some interesting reading!   Got a pair of HifiMan HE-400s for Christmas and immediately began hunting up amps and DACs. Landed on the Schitt Magni amp and Modi DAC. Jason Stoddard was great about answering questions and not trying...
