Sure! You can try out the Beyerdynamic Dt 770's and the ATH-M50x cans at Guitar Center. There are a number of these stores, and I know there's one near you in Arlington Heights. You might want to call ahead to see what they have in stock. I think there are 4 or 5 Guitar Centers in the northwest...

When I A/B'd the 400's I realized the bass was a little muddier than I had known. Bass on the 770's was more distinct. I also want to improve the comfort factor and seal. The 400's tend to slip a little on my head and I lose the seal below my ear. Also, the pads get hot after a short period...

Zero Audio Carbo Tenore were the only IEMs the guys at Schitt recommended to me (under $100). Their reasoning was value/price ratio. I paid $35 for mine. I've had a pair of Sennheiser CX500's at my workstation for years. $29 on Amazon. Hard to beat these IEMs for that price.
