Static in headphones when plugged in to computer

Thanks guys! Now that I know where the problem is, I'm probably going to get a not too expensive power strip with filtering or a UPS in place of my current surge protector in the future. Until then, I'll just unplug the powerline whenever I'm using my headphones and replug when I'm done. Kinda a...

Static in headphones when plugged in to computer

Sorry for being unclear about my setup. This is all at my house and it was built around 10 years ago so its fairly new. This is the surge protector I had switched out and currently using:   http://www.radioshack.com/enercell-7-outlet-2100-joule-surge-protector/6100062.html#.VKYlJCvF98E  ...

Static in headphones when plugged in to computer

Unfortunately the static came back  So, I tried unplugging all of the usb's to see if that's the problem. Turns out, the static gets even worse when only my amp is plugged in. I'm suspecting cause of the static is my computer. Any Ideas?

Static in headphones when plugged in to computer

That was definitely the problem. Switched out the surge protector and static is completely gone. Thanks very much   Now, I can finally listen to music on this computer without that annoying background noise.

    Fiio e11 Imbalance

I do notice that the hissing is less prominent at low gain so I keep it at low gain. However, the imbalance seems to be uneffected.

    Fiio e11 Imbalance

I do set it on low gain and on low power and the problem is there. The problem is slight but noticeable. I tried my setup with the s4i and the x10. They both show the problem. I originally thought that it was the hack not seating correctly but I made sure it was in all the way.

    Fiio e11 Imbalance

I have a slight problem here. I just recently bought a fiio e11 amp for my 2nd gen. Itouch. I am using it with klipsch image s4i and x10. When I play my music with the amp, my right earbud sounds louder than my left one. However, it is extremely slight and it is more noticeable at lower...
