Knowledge Zenith (KZ) impressions thread
KZ AS16 Pro ($29 USD) with Hakugei Big Rice Cable ($22.95 USD Shipped) It has been weeks since I received the IEMs and they sound very very good. I am even more impressed by the price and did not expect much out of them. I've tried them with stock cable, a diy OCC Copper cable and this cable...- Eddie C

FEARLESS Audio IEM's Discussion/Impressions
Your post made me realize i havent listened to my S8P in about 1.5 months haha im always using my Sundaras hooked up to my desktop. Sundaras are good for crystal clearness, but the warmth and isolation from the S8P makes me love them equally if not a tad bit more than the Sundara.- Eddie C

Feedback by 'Eddie C' on listing '(On Hold) Custom Cables, made to order (3.5mm for Focal, Hifiman, etc.)'
Pleasant experience buying from this user, I am very satisfied with the cable he produced for me. Recommend wholeheartedly to anyone wanting sleeved+braided headphone cables. Thanks!- Eddie C

DIY Cable Gallery!!
I would be careful with the long heatshrink and connector at the IEM end, it puts a lot of stress on the pins (can potentially break) because the IEM does not have recessed sockets to help alleviate. I would recommend shortening or removing the IEM end connector heatshrinking and also consider...- Eddie C

Hifiman Sundara (HE400i upgraded, around $500)
Im team "no sound quality difference", and i've tried SPC, occ litz copper, etc in 4/8 round braid and flat braid configurations, with IEMs. Im using a DIY OCC copper 4 strand round braid cable with the Sundaras and noticed no sound quality difference either. If you want sleeved cables I would...- Eddie C

DIY Cable Gallery!!
its a 4 strand round braid @noddy43 Cable looks good! the only gripe and recommendation from me is to trim the heatshrink strain relief, it would look much cleaner like on the headphone end plugs :raised_hands:- Eddie C

Khadas Tone2 Pro: Mini Desktop DAC with built-in Headphone Amplifier
Very attractive product and I would definitely consider if I didn't have my current stack. Im an amp noob but am I missing something? It says 3 stage amplification, can drive demanding cans but output power at 32ohms is 211mW/125mW meanwhile a magni (my current amp) puts out 2.4W at 32 ohms?- Eddie C

Hifiman Sundara (HE400i upgraded, around $500)
Yes I realize it functions as dust filter, but I observed all hifiman fanbois running grillmod have no "pantyhose layer" so I figure i'd give it a try. Is it wise? up to you if you put your headphones through rough environments or want to squeeze out every drop of performance- Eddie C

Hifiman Sundara (HE400i upgraded, around $500)
Yesterday I removed the pantyhose layer under the grills again and found the following changes: -looks dope -more holographic -high hats and cymbals sound more crisp (evident in Eagles - Hotel California and Beatles - In My Life) -better subbass BEFORE: AFTER: I've also run them with...- Eddie C

Hifiman Sundara (HE400i upgraded, around $500)
I dont think that should happen... but one possibility i can think of are reversed polarity of wiring for Meze headphones although Tip - Signal and Sleeve - Ground should be standard. In this scenario you can search youtube for "polarity check" videos to test when it sounds proper/improper...- Eddie C

Hifiman Sundara (HE400i upgraded, around $500)
Only the tip carries signal, ring is unused, and sleeve is for ground on both headphone male connectors. So 2 poles is enough to do the job. -DIYed my own cable for sundara- Eddie C

Reply to review by 'Eddie C' on item '64 Audio Nio'
2 pin iems especially at this price point should use recessed sockets. If the cable connector is bent by accident and the pins snap off, it is a bad time. What makes it even more of a no brainer are the stock cables are recessed socket compatable.- Eddie C
