Is there any cheap-ish iem of the type which you stick deep inside the ear canal to cancel outside noise, etymotic-style so to speak?

I get sound only on 24 bit format and I can't control volume with windows 7 (through usb), is it normal? Also, is it ok to hook very low imp hp (12 ohms) through the back pre-amp? I have to keep the volume at literal minimum with the amp (but I have no problems with that).

I bought Sony MDR-MA900 from an amazon.jp seller few months ago from EU.  After they fell from only 1 meter, the left cup, the one who took the shock with the ground first, has quite a bit of lower sound. I can EQ it up with eqAPO but I would like to know what could have happened and if...
