Just read your post..now THAT interests me as I was considering either the Melodious or the breeze. I think it was you that sent me s post that said the breeze was a better unit stock. May I ask what your impressions are since you have had both and also what issues do the melodious have?

Is there a thread that actually discusses the "Sound" of the stock unit? The title says nothing about modding the stock unit and I see one person asking about the sound...one post and I think he gave up. It's not that I don't appreciate what's being done, I think it's great but I am sure a lot...

I assume you mean the breeze audio xmos u8? If so the the only place I can find it is a Chinese website, Tobaigo and I'm not even sure if it's 110 volt. It's not on eBay yet. Any suggestions?

Thanks for the suggestion, i thought about it but I am worried the hub would leave the U12 always powered on an also introduce additional noise. I would rather use th melodious if it works. Thanks for the suggestion though.

BTW the reason I am mentioning the Gustard needing the five volts is I believe that the apple camera connector kit will not supply this. I will also be using whatever I choose with my audio server, but it would be real nice to plug in my iPad once in a while as well. I know the max it can output...

My comments still stand, there are huge differences in tonal quality between v 1 and v 2. Many of his comments about it being a "Dark" headphone would be meaningless with the latest revision of the headphone. Wonder why Audeze LCD-2 v 1 was used for the comparison when there is v 3 out now? I just purchased the updated version before Christmas and a friend has the first version. When we compared the two there were clear differences between them both in construction and sound.
