I use mine with an O2 and it sounds great through foobar with Electri-Q bumping up the bass a couple of dB.

Would you go through the hassle of returning them to the seller just to get the others for that style of music though?

I bought these headphones and they have arrived but I am afraid of opening them because l feel that the HE-400s would suit my tastes more. I like 70s rock, blues and jazz. What do you think because I have a chance for an exchange?

If you guys got a pair of AKG 702 65th Anniversary Editions for Christmas, would you go to the trouble and hassle of returning them for HE-400s, or would you keep the AKG's if you didn't have either?

Thanks for the reply. The Allesandro's are another headphone I have not heard of. They seem more like on ear. I am going to look into the Q701s a little more because I feel they may be a good option. Do you have any experience with the HD650?

I have the time for the HD 650 so I might look into that. As for the D600 I haven't heard a lot about them so I am not sure but it looks like a price. For the Q701s I listen to slow rock nothing fast paced. Queen is pretty much as fast as I go.

Any other opinions?

I think that's what I'll do but I just saw another set of headphones, the Beyerdynamic DT 880 Premium 600 OHM and with the O2+ODAC it looks like these will really shine. Do you still think the HE-400 will be the best bet?
