I think it was @earnmyturns who posted this recommendation, today I got about 1/2 way through before running out of time. I will revisit this album soon, because the music is awesome. The young pianist, Herr Julius Asal, is a wizard. The recording quality by Deutsche Grammophon is top notch. :-)

You bet, my pleasure. I enjoyed Chick's improvisation of three Thelonious Monk songs the most, but the entire album is a blast. :-)

So no 29 hands in your leagues? The odds against a 29, I'm sure, are astronomically high. The good/bad cuts and bad breaks will eventually even out in the long run.

Dig all the jazz drummers on display today. Very cool. These two go together: Domenico Scarlatti. Now the Russian composer Alexander Scriabin. So Chick invites somebody from the audience to come up and play a duet ... More Scarlatti. These guys do classical really well together...

Too bad. The other games we play here are Acey-Deucy (on a backgammon board) and gin rummy. She consistently wins at the former, whilst I dominate at the latter (so we rarely play it). We're evenly-matched at cribbage with games often coming down to the wire.

Thanks, yes we like it a lot. I contacted David (The Cribbage Guy) and asked him to make me a Drueke board that could handle 2" pegs. He took it from there and came back with the design. If you go to his website and click on "Custom Boards" you will see the genius of his work. It's his full-time...

My grandparents were from the UP and had a huge custom board in their house. They kept track of a lot of measures including crib points. Over the course of many years, they determined the average crib to be worth 2.4 points. Seems kinda low to me, but that's what grandpa told me. BTW, our house...

Very nice - cribbage tables! I think David (The Cribbage Guy) may have an example on his website, but I don't remember his as being folding. Nice hand indeed ... 24. That's my high since we now keep track. Annette had a 28 hand (once). I've been playing for 50+ years and never saw a 29 hand...

Very nice - and can travel. Our board is strictly for home use, it weighs about as much as a bowling ball. :-)
