Forgive me for not reading through 112 pages but I'm wondering if the quiet nature of the Solitaire Ts in BT mode can be improved in any way?

If you're already happy with Apple music you could just stream via airplay to the HE and I think you would enjoy it. At least worth a try before switching apps or paying more for hi res. It's really going to be tough to discern any difference between apple lossless or hi res qobuz.

I'm not sure if it's already been mentioned but the HE excels at Roon wifi connectivity vs the chord poly or 2go. I have all 3 and the chord streamers do not work from my bedroom (and I live in a 1400 sq foot fairly small house). However, the HE works perfectly with no dropouts.

The HE has no digital output, so it cannot be used with another DAC.

Yeah I wouldn't worry about the MQA stuff either. Get Tidal if it's available, it's good. Also, the HE makes anything sound good so you could even stream youtube music via chromecast and be happy.

Yeah I have both and prefer the sound from the HE. But I only use either as a headphone amp. Haven't tried using either as a preamp but I'd suspect the HE is a far better user experience. And it should be, given the price.
