Westone 4 Impressions and Reviews Thread

Is $368 in the US the cheapest you can get them for? They went down to $325 a couple weeks back, I so regret not getting a pair. Edit: forgot to mention, the 4Rs not the 4.

Westone 4 Impressions and Reviews Thread

As someone who owned a pair of IE80s, but sent them back due to fit issues and the fact that I wasn't "blown away" by the sound of them, will I be amazed when I finally get my hands on a pair of 4Rs? I'm so excited! :D

Westone 4 Impressions and Reviews Thread

I found the 4R on amazon jp for 37,087 Yen, which converts to about $378 or £242. Would it be a wise idea to order it from there? Can I find it cheaper anywhere else? I heard it was $325 on Amazon US a couple weeks back, shame I missed out on that!   EDIT: Scratch that, I don't think they...

New IEMS: Shure SE535 or Westone 4R

Quote: Thank you very much for your help , I think I'll go for the 4R then. One last thing, what do people mean by saying they find the 4R boring?

New IEMS: Shure SE535 or Westone 4R

After reading through this whole thread, sadly, I'm still really caught up on which IEM to go for. I think a real deal-breaker for me would be which IEM is more comfortable to wear for hours on end, I find myself getting very irritated when I don't have a good seal, so on that topic, which of...

Going from IE80 to another IEM

I liked everything about it other than it's comfort, I didn't feel it made it deep enough in my ears, so I'm looking something similar to the IE80 but somewhat "comfier"

Going from IE80 to another IEM

Hi all,   Back in January I treated myself to a pair of IE80s, I loved the sound, but sadly the fit was just not right (kept losing the seal), so I sent it back to Sennheiser. Now I'm left with a £10 pair of skullcandy earphones that I've just been putting up with 'till I get a new pair...

Thanks TwinQY, when I say something different I mean IEMs with a different sound signature than the IE80s and DTT990 pros (my only other headgear, I assume they have similar sound signatures), so no V-shape (?). I'd like some IEMs that are very well detailed and do not have recessed mids.

    DT990 Pro Impressions Thread

Speaking of coiled cables... This is how I've overcome that obstacle, sadly, it looks pretty ugly on my desk and it's made a kink in the coil. However, I no longer have the coil pulling on my head, so the headphones are super comfortable to wear now. These cans aren't amped or plugged into a...

Hi all,   I purchased some IE80s back in January which I loved but sadly did not fit my ears at all. Even after trying all the provided tips plus ones I made myself with foam ear plugs and buying some tips online, I couldn't get a comfortable seal so I sent them back :(   I am now...

    Sennheiser IE80's Impressions Thread

Half tempted to send these back to Amazon now. Even after purchasing some tips from eBay, I still can't find a nice fit. I can't justify spending ridiculous amounts of money on something that doesn't even fit. So disappointed.

    Sennheiser IE80's Impressions Thread

I'm having difficulties getting a fit that I am comfortable with. They all either physically don't fit, don't have a good seal or just fall out my ears. I'm currently using the medium sized standard silicon tips, they're ok, but to get a good seal I have to push the IEM into my ear rather...

Should I purchase a Sansa Clip+ to replace my (soon to acquire) Google nexus 4 at the gym?   I recently received my IE80s and I really want to take good care of them, when I have my source in my pocket I fear that the tension and also the zipper will damage the jack.   Also how does the...
