Well there's always the classic UE TF10 (if you have medium to large ears), which I actually think is much better than the UE900. The UE900 has some really harsh sibilance that I can't listen to, while the TF10s are among the best highs I've heard (and I own an HD800 and Ultrasone ED 8)...

ATH-w1000x is a good value for your money, even though I just got rid of mine to fund other purchases. Also they look really slick with their wooden finish. Subbass is present and bass extension is pretty decent. Worked pretty well with my DACPort..  

In terms of isolation, you wont find anything better than Etymotics. In terms of comfort, many have argued that klipsch tips are really comfy.   I've read somewhere that the ER4 is just a USA handmade, custom tuned HF5 -- they use the same housing and drivers, that is. Not sure if this is...

try a shure se215 and see if you like it. it's only $99 and imo is one of the best values on the market. and it has a replaceable cable.

basically your IEM's have holes in them where the cable goes in and fits. to remove you pull out. shure's replacement cables are around $35, so are the TF10's, while the westone epic RC's are around 55.   what earphones are you using now anyways?

Sold the Beyer T1's. Am I the only guy on head-fi who passionately hates the linearity of the T1 and the headphone itself? Sorry if I just offended anyone.

I completely agree with the soundstage part, but to me all grados sound aggressive and "fast".. but trust KG Jag more cuz he's owned every single grado.  

really? i like the ultrasones cuz they're the only high-end portables, and its on the market with that kinda "speed" (but people on this forum seem to underrate it). Also the cable job was like $360 into it..  

Yeah, I know its due to personal preference, but I was wondering what other members thought was the "worst" headphone of the 3. Personally I'm leaning to sell the T1's.

KRK KNS 8400 has outstanding clarity. Just don't buy its little brother (6400), they suck

Look at the KRK KNS 8400; usually they make high end speakers but they have headphones too. The clarity is second to none. Just don't buy its little brother the KRK KNS 6400 (this one sucks).
