Are the iNEARCUSTOM'S Custom Shure SE215 worth it vs universal-fit IEMs in that price range?

There was a huge thread with a lot of us expressing our thoughts on the company, for some reason I can't get it to open, but a LOT of us were quite unhappy with the customer service as well as the finished product.   I actually ended up just throwing mine away rather than attempt to resolve...

    INEARCUSTOM - Cheapest re-shell ever?

Quote: Others have already replied, but no, that pricing does NOT include removable cables.   I finally said screw it and tossed mine in the trash.  Grabbed a nice set of Etys and I'm a lot happier.  To hell with CIEMs.

    INEARCUSTOM - Cheapest re-shell ever?

The fact that as recently as last week Rob's still saying 4-6 weeks shows that he's not interested in being honest with his customers.  Sure, maybe they CAN be done in 4-6, but they're NOT.

    INEARCUSTOM - Cheapest re-shell ever?

To be blunt, I'm saying 'f it'. I really REALLY wish I'd just gotten a nice set of Etys, I honestly just hate even looking at these.

    INEARCUSTOM - Cheapest re-shell ever?

Quote: This is what I'm doing, my right is downright painful after just a few minutes of being inserted.  The left fits well enough but loses seal easily. I could send them in, I realize that, but I just don't want to deal with these guys anymore.  I already consider my investment for the...

    INEARCUSTOM - Cheapest re-shell ever?

How tolerant should I be of a little pain with them installed?  I've no real idea what to expect from a CIEM and as irritated as I am right now, I'd still like to be fair to the actual construction/fit.

    INEARCUSTOM - Cheapest re-shell ever?

Quote: With the exception of the missing payment information, this is my experience almost exactly. I'm rather displeased and I'm not inclined to follow up with them in a futile attempt to get any satisfaction.     I deeply regret having gone with this company.

I just sent in some SuperFreqs I picked up here a while back, I can't wait!

Hello all,   What looks to be my best option for getting a pair of CIEMs re-shelled?   I picked up a pair recently and am finally getting around to it.   Cost is the primary concern, the only real 'extra' I'm interested in is detachable cables (and the option for an iPhone mic would be...

Ipod classic - rockbox - its happening.

Alright, I just Rockboxed an iPod Classic 160GB and holy crap, I'm lost. I'm perusing the online manual (downloaded the PDF) but can anyone toss me some quick suggestions to get it set up for a set of AKG Q701s listening to (mainly) post-rock, rock and folk? What are the 'must have'...

Quote: Well, I do realize there's no perfect solution since one is open v/s a closed option, I'm simply looking for the closest possible comparison for the few times (generally in public or while traveling) that an open can, much less a HUGE open can is unacceptable or a huge hassle.    ...

Quote: Lots of post-rock (Sigur Ros, Godspeed!), a fair amount of (80s mostly) rock/metal (I know, weird for those cans but it works for me) including classic psychedelic rock (Pink Floyd, King Crimson, etc), some classical vinyl and electronica/glitch when it strikes my fancy (Crystal...

I'm looking for something that's quite similar to the AKG Q701 but is closed instead of open.  I have a suspicion after doing some research that the Fostex RP50 with mods is what I want but I'd like to verify that.   Budget is around $400 and I do have amplification.     I do not care...

    Headphone Sightings 2

Girl sitting on the plane next to me pulled out white ATH-M50s, they look better in person than I expected.   Walking around the airports I saw a ton of Beats a few Beyers, a couple of AKG sets and the only Shure cans were my 840s.

Those Q701s will not lend themselves to work if you're worried about bothering your neighbors. Be aware that GC will price match Amazon as well.

New Product E09K on Sale Now!

I realize this is a bit of a necro, but I'm curious about something with the E09K.   When I have my E17 docked to my E09K and connected to my PC via the USB port, the volume on the E17 appears to directly influence the volume on the E09K.  Is there a preferred setting for the E17 to be set...
