Tempted to try something new (headphones, maybe complete setup?)
Thanks for the reply. Not going to lie, I thought that may be the case. I thought I'd ask just in case, and because I like the idea of new things :D (had a look at grados the past couple of days and I'm veeery tempted....)- GeorgeStorm

Tempted to try something new (headphones, maybe complete setup?)
Hey, As above basically. I currently have a pair of DT770 pros (250ohm) plugged into a Fiio E7/9 combo which I use for music, games, tv/film etc. I'm about to buy a digital piano, which I may not be able to use them with due to their high impedance, so it may be a chance/excuse for me to get a...- GeorgeStorm

It's a personal thing. There tends to be a maximum two sounds with cherry switches, the bottoming out sound, and if you use blues/greens the click of the switch itself near the actuation. Since you've tried reds and are missing the click then I would recommend trying blues/greens (blues are...- GeorgeStorm

Kind of glad to hear that since it means I won't have to try and sell what I've got :P Any recommendations? I'll be using it for online gaming, skype calls and doing commentary.- GeorgeStorm

I don't have anything on that PC I couldn't get back in a weekend :) (maybe a bit longer depending on download speeds :P) Got a Microserver with all of my media, then an external 1tb which I'm using with the PC right now for my music and photos. I think I may use this 'oppurtunity' to sell some...- GeorgeStorm

Currently using a Ducky Mini with mx blues. Wanted to make the change back to ISO since I use ISO at work so wanted to use it at home as well. I haven't sold my old Poker yet though since it's soooo nice (alu case, steel plate, ergo clears with imsto beige blanks). I'll be looking to get some...- GeorgeStorm

Looking to buy a new mic, may need a new dac/amp combo?
Hey, As above, I'm looking to get a half decent mic since my current one is a bit temperamental, and I would like to be able to record stuff on my PC so a better mic would be good. However I currently use a Fiio e7/9 combo with my Microlab Solo6C speakers and DT770 250ohm pros. I'm assuming a...- GeorgeStorm

Official Grado-Beyerdynamic Fan Club (for those who love BOTH! :)
Sadly the sr225is were out of stock, and they didn't give me a chance to wait for them. Still got my dt880s, but to me they don't sound THAT different from my dt770s (apart from a little less base, and obviously blocking out less sound) I think my ears just aren't good enough to get the benefit...- GeorgeStorm

Fair enough, and I know I don't have to get anything, and I don't want to get something purely because it's a good deal. But I thought this was a brilliant chance to potentially get an upgrade, when I wouldn't be able to afford one normally kinda thing. Even if I don't upgrade my DT770s, I...- GeorgeStorm

There's not a lot of point putting much money into a portable pair, since I would hardly ever use them. Why those? From a quick look they'll be of a similar quality to my current set? Sadly both the HD600 and 650 are out of stock :( Taste wise I listen to a wide range of music, and I watch all...- GeorgeStorm

Currently got a pair of DT770s, connected to an e7/e9 combo. Due to an offer I can get 50% off on iheadphones.co.uk Anyone recommend something worth getting? Can probably stretch to £150 (so £300) Also after some half decent in-ears, maybe £50? (wouldn't use them very much so no point spending...- GeorgeStorm

The Keyboard Company are a great company to buy from, one of the few you can get Filcos from in the UK. No need to worry about getting scammed or anything like that :)- GeorgeStorm

wasdkeyboards have various keycaps available, if you don't want custom keycaps then you can pick up a complete set for a half decent price. Do you want a couple of cool keys or to completely redo your keyboard?- GeorgeStorm

Just a different feel to them, reason they are so pricey is because they are such a niche product, and only one company makes the switches I think (or something like that) Whereas cherry switches are used by quite a few companies.- GeorgeStorm

For me the noise and feel of topre was far less awesome than cherry. I don't understand people who don't like the noise, that's one of the best things about mechanicals :D- GeorgeStorm

Not a bad choice of keyboard, bit big for me though. Yeah the mouse is lovely, tempted to get an artisan pad to go with it, apparently awesome, but rather pricey :/- GeorgeStorm

The return shipping won't be refunded? Even if the item is faulty? That's not great customer service just for the record, leaving the customer out of pocket with nothing to show for it.- GeorgeStorm
