VE Monk IE Biggie and Smalls - Discussion and Impressions
Wouldn't that make the belly bigger than the tummy? The cable might cost more than the biggies and smalls?- ridhuankim

VE Monk IE Biggie and Smalls - Discussion and Impressions
Hey, thanks for sharing your experience. Mine is put back in the case and will be a collection among other iems that I don't listen to anymore. Those of which I will only occassionally take out to listen when bored. I think this biggies and smalls are for marketing and collection purpose. I...- ridhuankim

VE Monk IE Biggie and Smalls - Discussion and Impressions
I had been burning this for around 200 hours and I can say the biggies are enjoyable. It is very warm sounding and still lacks overall clarity but it does sound fun. I am glad I didn't give up just yet as I do see improvements. If I take this as USD30, I can say they are more than worth it in...- ridhuankim

VE Monk IE Biggie and Smalls - Discussion and Impressions
If the product is not what I like then I can say I don't like it. I sent them email reported the problem I am facing with Smalls left earpiece and provided my feedback. Lee's email auto response said I should send to another email so I did. No response. Sent another email. No response. Then...- ridhuankim

VE Monk IE Biggie and Smalls - Discussion and Impressions
Not everyone wants to use Facebook. My expectation was that at least they would sound like any IEM at their retail price and hoped it would exceed. Otherwise there is no reason to look at VE products. VE Monk Plus is called "Trap" because it is a lure telling that there are better ones in their...- ridhuankim

VE Monk IE Biggie and Smalls - Discussion and Impressions
I really had high hopes for these and got the premium package. Both smalls and biggies didn't impress. From the packaging already it felt cheap. Opening the box cover you get to see the 4 ear pieces on a sponge with black paper glued on top. This sponge was difficult to remove. The earpieces...- ridhuankim

Fostex TH900 mods
They actually feel very solid. The mmcx connection was way better than I thought. And this is completely reversible. With other connectors you can't reverse it as original. I am pretty happy with this mod. Highly recommended. If anything breaks, it is easy to fix as well.- ridhuankim

Fostex TH900 mods
Hi, @AT Khan, I have successfully perform the same mod following your steps and I am very proud and happy that I did. It looks awesome! Thanks for sharing and I am sure more people will follow the same steps and mod their fostex. This mod is not an option, to me, it is a MUST!- ridhuankim

Fostex TH900 mods
Hi. Thanks for sharing. Do you still have your fostex with you and have you made any changes to the cable mod? I am thinking to mod my TH-X00 ebony and found your article. Would you still recommend the same mmcx connector or have you changed to something new? Thanks in advance.- ridhuankim

Upcoming DAP from xDuoo - the X10!
Hi, can you try to remove your SD card and see if your XDuoo X10 can startup fine? The reason is, I had some songs that X10 does not play(seems like X10 thinks it is corrupt) and that would hang the system. Even if you reset, it would load the last played song so it goes back to the same...- ridhuankim

Officially 128GB works. I haven't seen anyone using 200GB yet. Someone has to try it to tell if it works. It was beyond what I could afford.- ridhuankim

For those who are getting static when you rotate the plug, I would highly recommend trying out the gold plated plug. All expensive IEMs must come with gold plated plugs... sigh. If you get a replacement cable, make sure you get one with gold plated plug. Once you get it, try rotating the plug...- ridhuankim

It does not look too hard to make one. Use multitester to double check which ones are connected to which end. buy a 3.5mm tssr male plug and a rca make plug. Get some good mono cable and solder. But if you do not want to do soldering, then just buy tssr extension cable and extend your fiio...- ridhuankim

Hi, all. Please don't shoot me if I am asking wrong question at the wrong thread. Any advice if I wanted to go for solid state tubes? I currently have MK IV SE. I use it at the office. Funny, I felt the same when I updated to firmware 2.0. Then later I was trying to see if that was really the case.... And I found that I flipped the gain switch to high. One of my IEM sounded better with High Gain and I didn't realize that until then. After updating to 2.1, and playing...- ridhuankim

If you want to buy the stock cable, you can buy them from addictedtoaudio.com.au but you will have to pay AUD85 for it. It was not worth it for me. And with stock, you will experience either side of the IEM intermittently disconnect when you move. Any OFC cable would be good replacement.- ridhuankim

Dang it! I bought the same thing from ebay for 20 some dollars!!! Anyway, I felt that the sound is more clearer with this cable. I set the bass dial to zero. It was a noticible upgrade and if you can buy that for less than USD8 I see no way anyone could complain. The veiled sound however does...- ridhuankim

Acoustic Research S700M IEM Impressions
I got this from an auction for AUD $40 I pretty like this IEM. #1 I like the sound stage the most #2 It is very good for listening to "oldies but goodies" or live concert recordings. But also pretty good overall for other genres as well. The silicon tip is a bit different. It does not...- ridhuankim
