iBasso IT01 a fun IEM. Single multilayered graphene driver. !! 99 USD !!

I bought it out of curiosity (and habit of course) but after around 2 years of using cheap Philips as my go-to when I'm riding or anywhere out of my house I kinda thought I probably could tolerate more bassy sound when I'm not paying too much attention. Those Philips are WAY more bassy than the...

iBasso IT01 a fun IEM. Single multilayered graphene driver. !! 99 USD !!

Been a week using these 'phones, although I don't use em as my go-to either at home or out and about, so probably I need to burn these things more, but I think these will mostly be sitting on the bench for me. To be fair, I'm more in favor of something more neutral and analytical, so there's no...

    LG Quadbeat 3 Impressions Thread

Been switching the QB3 with Philips TX2 back and forth quite a lot lately and at the moment I'm kinda digging the Philips more than the LGs. TX2s have better extended treble and they are no longer as prone to sibilance as they were a few weeks ago when I first got them, although it's not...

    Philips TX1 / TX2 Impressions Thread

Nope, mine is the original version. I will get the AKG version in about a month or so depending on my wallet's state. But I'm very happy with my QB3, I certainly don't miss my Westone UM Pro 10.

    Philips TX1 / TX2 Impressions Thread

Not really liking the TX2 after about a week using them. Kind of prone to sibilance especially with poorly recorded/mastered/ripped music. Good treble extension, satisfying bass, but mids are a bit too far back for my liking. These will be playing second fiddle to my LG QB3 until those gems got...

    LG Quadbeat 3 Impressions Thread

I'm gonna wait for my next payday before getting the AKG version. I'm still being impressed day after day by the original QB3. And I don't know if I'm lucky or what but I don't find any fit issue with the stock tips, those things fit me really well. If I can find MH1C somewhere I'll get it and...

    LG Quadbeat 3 Impressions Thread

I wouldn't mind it being more flat, I would actually love that. I think the mids really are the weak point of the sound, wish it could be more forwarded. I guess I'm gonna have to get the AKG version then

    LG Quadbeat 3 Impressions Thread

I'll wait until the next payday before ordering the AKG ver because in my country these things aren't that cheap actually (currency sucks). How much differences are there in terms of sound between the originals and the AKGs?

If you still love Etymotic ER4, this is the thread for you...

Is there any chance that the new ER4s will reach Malaysian market? I don't feel good about buying from ebay because Paypal charges a lot for whatever fees that they charge.

New member of the club here, I'm very impressed with the original QB3 that I received today. It really is magical how something so cheap can sound this good.

    Filter Grey For Phonak needed

Phonak quit the game a few years ago, I don't think you can really find those filters anymore. You can probably keep on searching, but if I were you I'd give it up and look for something else.

I remember Hifiman made an adapter for RE-272 that can switch your left/right side so you can wear IEMs like this one over the ear. Do they sell those things separately or are they any alternatives?

Is there a reshelling company that make UM CIEM into universal IEM?

Heir Audio does it. I have a link from a Singapore dealer's website, you can probably contact Heir directly. http://store.treoo.com/heir-audio-reshell-service-for-balanced-armature-iem-to-universal-iem.html

Help me throw my Skullcandys away!? Please?

I think you have stuck too long with your Skullcandys that pretty much cater to normal, average everyday type of listener who typically look for nothing but a ton of bloated bass. I went through the same thing as you did when I first bought my first serious audiophile IEM (Philips SHE 9850). It...

Alrite, that's pretty much all I need to know, thanks. I'll be getting this very soon to back up my Westone UM Pro 10. I love my Westone to death but lately the right side stars having some weird rattling. I'm worried if this is one of those cases where the driver falls off its place like some...

Oh yeah, I read your review for the second time and realized that you mentioned it at the very beginning. But it seems like you can't push those tips deep enough, have you tried the silicon Star tips? I love those Westone tips but I'm worried if they aren't inserted properly then probably we're...

    DIY reshelling Westone W3??

Due to my internet being a piece of crap at the moment, I can't really do a search and share the link with you, but I saw somebody from Singapore did this DIY custom reshelling with his Shure SE215. You can probably Google it and see if you can find it, right now I can't. I think he did...

If you still love Etymotic ER4, this is the thread for you...

Get well soon brother, it sucks for audiophiles to injure their precious ears. This is why when my ER4 was still functioning I rarely used the tri-flanges, only used them at the middle of the night when I was sure nobody would call me therefore I wouldn't have to hastily and constantly remove them.

I don't really remember too much about ER4P sound in details, but signature wise, the treble is quite a lot brighter than UM Pro 10. It's the only disappointment I have with the Westones, otherwise it's really a great buy for the price.

[Help]Shure SE215 vs. Westone UM Pro 10 vs. Westone Adventure Alpha

I have the UM Pro 10, and have tested the SE215 for a short time a few years ago. UM Pro 10 is great, you get a lot of details from it. Bass is deep enough when you need it, although I have never tried hip-hop or R&B since I don't listen to that type of music. I think the only thing that I don't...

College kid in need of low profile inexpensive noise cancelling IEMs

I used to be looking for inexpensive IEMs with good isolation too, but ended up getting a boost in budget for some reason and ended up buying a Westone instead. Before then, I was seriously considering SoundMagic PL-50 and Meelectronics A-151. Both seem to insert deep enough to give good...
