Pictures of Your Portable Rig (part XVI)
Didn't upgrade anything on my rig, but I had to replace the Clip+ because it died after only 2 weeks of use :( Tried pretty much everything I could to fix it, but I ended up just buying a new one, which I finally got today. Also, in the hopes of opening peoples' ears to better sound, I...- DarSevn

Sansa Clip+ factory data
I'm not actually sure about this because I already had all of my CDs ripped by album. I only have a few albums on my Clip and I haven't added any individual songs.- DarSevn

Sansa Clip+ factory data
Try giving it a bit of charge, then do that reset like I said in the last post. That is how I ended up getting mine back from that mess. The Sansa updater absolutely refused to recognize my Clip when I had this problem, so I wouldn't take that as a sign.- DarSevn

Do a hard reset on the Clip, hold the power down for 15~ seconds. When it is booting up hold the left button. Tell me if that helps or not.- DarSevn

Sansa Clip+ factory data
Did you try to rockbox it, have a problem, then reformat? Regardless, I believe the devs said that you only need the firmware .bat file or something like that. Just find that, download it, and drag it back onto the clip and it should fix itself. Edit: I cleared mine by accident and I...- DarSevn

Unfortunately there are a few problems with my Clip. I have noticed a lot of dust in the cracks and slots and now it seems like the + volume button sticks a little and doesn't click when pressed. Sounds absolutely fantastic though, so I am not sure if I wanna hassle with sending it back, try...- DarSevn

Quote: I have been quite the admirer of pretty much every picture you have ever posted on this site, which is funny when my first question for you isn't even audio related haha. But I have to ask now, do you speak Chinese? I don't know about China, but it is very much a Taiwanese...- DarSevn

Westone 4 Impressions and Reviews Thread
Even though I listen to a lot of bass heavy music, I really enjoy the sound of both the UM1 and now the Westone 4. If I want to listen to something with bass, I would rather use full sized cans instead of IEMs anyways. And now I am glad I finally took the plunge on the W4's, I am enjoying them...- DarSevn

Westone 4 Impressions and Reviews Thread
I have no great way to start this post of my impression after buying the W4, so I will say a few things which will probably sound like rambling because it probably is haha. First, I don't consider myself an audiophile, simply a music lover. On the other hand, I am a head-fier in the...- DarSevn

Quote: For me, this is why I enjoy my iPod. Not being a true audiophile, and listening to music purely for the enjoyment of the sound that reaches my ears, Apple does a fantastic job in this regard. I have quite a few songs on my iPod and I can easily switch from song to song within...- DarSevn

How do you guys stay awake while listening to music?
I didn't see it mentioned so I thought I might throw this into the mix. You might have unconsciously associated music with sleep somewhere along the way. We are very much creatures of habit and if your body began to associate your night time listening habit with going to sleep than it will put... -
Buyer's Remorse: Headphones and earphones you bought on impulse and regretted.
Like a few other posters, I researched everything I bought beforehand so I am not really disappointed with any of my purchases. The headphones getting the least amount of use though are my M50's. They were the first decent pair I bought and I really enjoy the sound of them but everything else...- DarSevn

Pictures of Your Portable Rig (part XVI)
Yep, I recognized the DSLR quality. D7000 is one tough cookie, I treat mine pretty rough and it takes it all in stride with no problems at all. Looks like he is using the basic kit lens, or at most the 50mm 1.8. Direct light source overheard, possibly a lamp? Great quality pictures, how do...- DarSevn

Quote: Well, I gave it a try but it's very difficult to make them look good LOL. Camera gear for these shots was a Nikon D7000, 40mm Macro lens, and SB900. The lens is not the greatest, but I think it is very good for macro shots that aren't moving. And something I took to...- DarSevn

How far do I insert?
Quote: Every ear/tip is a little different. Shure olives for example; I can push them in to the limit. I have some foam tips that I can push all the way in and they won't seal properly, but if I pull them back just a little bit, they fit perfectly. If I use the tri-flanged tips, The...- DarSevn

IEM with Great Bass + Sound Quality
I am using the same pair (ATH-CKS77) and I agree with the above post. I do, however, want to say that the cable on my pair is complete garbage and is slowly falling apart at the top. In fact, this is the same problem I have had with many pairs of Audio Technica IEMs. I had a pair of Shure...- DarSevn

Another "Request" Thread. Bass with Highs
The M50's definitely get a little warm on your head after a while. With my E11 alone they get quite bassy (more than enough for me) and when I add the E17 in there it is even more so. Been using my 598's and Grado 80i's a lot lately, so, let me grab those and give you a little more detail. ...- DarSevn
