    Noontec RIO, IEM by Noontec

So I listened to them more, and was comparing with some other IEMs.  And ugh I dont like the sound of these headphones.  So bad.  Sound very muffled.  In my mind no comparison to Zoros.  Would not recommend.  For whoever asked, get the s4s.  I don't know what noontec was thinking with these...

    Noontec RIO, IEM by Noontec

I finally got a around to buying them, and I just started listening today.  So far not impressed, especially for any sort of vocals; I'm sensing some slight muffling in the mids.  I agree with the V - shape diagnosis, but so far I'm missing some low bass also.  Maybe they require some burn in...

    Noontec RIO, IEM by Noontec

Sure will do. I'll probably buy them sometime next week. Also dang already it broke? I would suggest getting the V-moda cord http://v-moda.com/accessories/ cause yeah the stock cord kinda stinks.

    Noontec RIO, IEM by Noontec

Cool!  Looks like i'll have to buy a pair (im kind of an impulse buyer too).  The only thing I can see that would annoy me is the cord, because it looks the same as the Zoro cord which could be a bit thicker and sturdier, but thats a fairly minor flaw.

    *Sennheiser ie80 review*

They were fakes :frown: I'm going to return them on Monday. Its funny cause i looked at some of the reviews for this seller and they were like "Great sound quality!" "Really great headphones!" and I was like *facepalm,* people are so easily scammed. Man and I was really excited to listen to...

    Noontec RIO, IEM by Noontec

Has anyone heard of the or actually hear of the RIO?  There are like no reviews on these IEM, and I was wondering whether these live up to the quality of the Zoro which I was extremely happy with.  Here's the link to Noontec's website:  http://www.noontec.com.au/?m=Product&i=81&v=Default  ...

    HELP!!!

Noontec Zoro's sound incredible in their price range (~$75).  They have a -slight- accentuated and tight bass but sound really clear and exciting even coming out of a iPod; they are what I use for my main portable headphone.  They fit your description pretty well actually haha.  Here is a full...

    Jazz cd's you recommend?

Quote: Hm there's so much to recommend!  If you like some smooth (and quite interesting) stuff you could listen to Pat Metheny's album Secret Story, but if you are into some more piano trios I would try the album George Duke by Christian Jacob or anything by Brad Mehldau.  For big band...

    Better than beats by dre?

If bass is important to him, the v moda m-100 are a really good bet, and they cost about the same beats studios. Check this review if you want: http://www.innerfidelity.com/content/bassheads-delight-v-moda-crossfade-m-100.

What does putting low impedance headphone into a high gain amp do?

Quote: Okay i think i see, so the JH16 IEMs require less power to achieve the same volume than the HE-6, and to achieve that power requires less output voltage from an amp because the impedance is less than the HE-6.  So its a much more efficient headphone, although maybe not as controlled...

What does putting low impedance headphone into a high gain amp do?

Quote: This post was very helpful to me thank you.  I have another question though, what is the difference between headphone impedance and sensitivity?  I know they are completely different units, Ohms and Db, but don't they give you similar information?  Thanks for the help.

Review by 'thekenner33' on item 'Noontec ZORO High Fashion Steel Reinforced SCCB Sound Technology Headphones - White'

As a previous owner of beats (before the knowledge of head-fi and innerfidelity was bestowed upon me) I can speak to how much better these sound then Dr. Dre's less than impressive Solo HDs.  But not only did they crush them, they also surprised me how well they actually do sound...  Every thing...

Quote:  What if I have a headphone like AKG's K271 with 55ohm resistance?  Would this amp be a good portable choice for those cans with an iPhone/iPad/Mac?  Im looking to spend around $50 anyway.  I also have Zoro's but they are much lower (16 ohm).   Thanks!
