Bowers & Wilkins P7 - over the ear headphones
I have enjoyed reading through this entire thread. I've had my p7 for about a week now and have been using them with the Galaxy note 3 straight out, a centrance hifi m8/Classic IPod combo, and a Scarlett 8i6. all lossless fies. I can also confirm a very noticeable scalability improvement with...- Tedman

I also have a hard time believing you hit the unlucky jack pot twice... I would be suspicious if the jack on your source. Have you tried another source yet?- Tedman

JH Audio JH-13 PRO impressions thread
Wanted to express my appreciation for this thread and add this picture to the club. Been listening to these for about a week now and have to agree with all the positive feedback for the JH13FP. These sound so good straight out of the galaxy Note 3 with 320kb mp3 that I experience more detail...- Tedman

Best portable amp for JH13'S
I think I understand why this thread hasn't very much action. The JH13pros sound so darn good out of a low impedance source like an Iphone or the Galaxy note 3 etc. that it seems far less necessary than with the full size cans.- Tedman

Best portable amp for JH13'S
I'm expecting a pair shortly too. What did you guys end up doing on the amplification? Anyone know if the Protector with balanced twag has been significantly dethroned as a portable?- Tedman

Audeze LCD-X
Anybody have an idea of where to go to get as close as possible to the LCD-X (in terms of presentation and sound signature) in a lighter HP? TH900? I'm tempted to buy them again (the LCD-X) and just relegate myself to lying down with them.- Tedman

Audeze LCD-X
I knew I was just being a wuss. I'll get lifting per Matt's demonstration right away until this chicken neck is double the size. Let me know how many sets/reps you'd recommend. After that warm up I might try standing under a pile driver for a couple hrs. a day.- Tedman

Audeze LCD-X
Here are some impressions: I fell in love with the LCD-X at RMAF. To me, they had the best soundstaging and bass/mid/treble balance of all the Audezes and I just HAD to have them as they blew away my current cans. My previous (much more humble) reference headphones are the HD-650. I use...- Tedman

Audeze LCD-X
I brought my own gear and music and they let me plug in to that - so I did feel I was able to get a good impression relative to what I am used to with my HD650. But I agree it was pretty difficult to make an accurate and detailed assessment - especially between different models with the same...- Tedman

Audeze LCD-X
Yes, that was my personal experience. We'll have to see if others agree. Funny thing is - I asked the folks at Audeze about this (if they thought the XC had more bass) and they said it was the same, but that is not what I heard. It was somewhat noisy there, so I suppose it is possible that I...- Tedman

Audeze LCD-X
I loved the bass on the X's. I thought it was deep, tight, full and dynamic. I love bass and It is probably the biggest reason I purchased them. The Audeze's all seemed to have great bass and the only meaningful comparison in terms of bass that I was able to make between the various Audeze...- Tedman

Audeze LCD-X
Good question on the comfort... I did find them comfortable, but the jury is still out for now - I guess I will find out. I did not find the earpads too hard at all, but the clamping force was comfortable also on the pairs I auditioned. A little while listening at CanJam is definitely not long...- Tedman

Audeze LCD-X
I have been using the HD650 as my reference headphones. I think I paid $400 for those. I compared them at CanJam to the Audeze and just broke down yesterday and ordered the LCD-X... I can't believe I spent so much $$ on a pair of headphones, but couldn't stop thinking about them. I don't...- Tedman

CanJam at RMAF 2013 Preview (And Exclusive Early Reveals!) - Head-Fi TV
I haven't posted much here yet on this forum, but I also attended RMAF and listened to the LCD-3, LCD-X and XC. I fell in love with the LCD-X. In fact, it has ruined my HD650 which I am sure is no surprise - it left them weeping in the corner of my bag. I thought the XC was very similar but...- Tedman
