I'm looking for some new desktop speakers coming from the Logitech S220 they were speakers to say the least but I want something with more kick and warmer sound. I plan to run it with my Xonar STX so I can use RCA or Stereo and hopefully the sound card will help liven up the sound.  ...

I keep wanting to try the HD 650 because people talk about them so much I feel like I'm missing something do you think the Xonar STX is enough to get solid sound out of them?

Thanks for the suggestions they look pretty good, I know the 900s are an outlier so it's pretty hard to put my finger on what makes me "wow" when I use them.
