FiiO E07K ANDES Review and Help Thread
Oh my, that's certainly both enlightening and disappointing. Apparently my mp3's all have sample rate of 44 khz. I was on the verge of cursing both Google and Amazon for being cheap, but after researching a little bit (1) (2) about sample rate I've lost all interest in higher sample rate. 1...- malignant01

FiiO E07K ANDES Review and Help Thread
Apparently my ears suck. I borrowed the thing, connected the E07K to the USB port, set it as the default playback device, set the quality to 96K Hz.... and dont really notice much difference. Will end up buying it anyways as the guy really needs money, but I wont pay more than 40 bucks...- malignant01

FiiO E07K ANDES Review and Help Thread
Head Fi-ers, I need your advice! A good friend of mine is selling his Fiio E07K, since we meet almost daily I know for a fact that his Fiio is almost never used. He bought it under the false assumption that it would improve his earphone's SQ and shelved the amp after he did not notice any...- malignant01

Check Out The Head-Fi Summer 2012 Buying Guide!
The guide is BEAUTIFUL and still manage to look very professional. However, content-wise I am not very satisfied with it : It should begin with some explanations of different type of head fi gears. The pros and cons of closed vs open headphones, IEMs vs Headphones. Why you want...- malignant01

Comfortable and Isolating headphone for 150USD -- SRH840, M50, HM5,etc
Decided on the DT770. Comfort is a bigger issue since I can raise the volume to block out outside sound. I will be buying an Asus Xonar DG as well because reviews of the DT770 often mention the need for amp to drive it correctly. Will buy within the hour unless I get a better recommendation :-)- malignant01

Comfortable and Isolating headphone for 150USD -- SRH840, M50, HM5,etc
The Fisher is not available on Amazon which is about the only place I buy from. Supposedly the HM5 I listed above is pretty much the same thing. Right now for me its a two way contest between the HM5 and the DT770- malignant01

Comfortable and Isolating headphone for 150USD -- SRH840, M50, HM5,etc
I think I will skip on the K271 because they have those two cables justting out on top of the headphone. For someone like me it means I will accidentally wreck the cable within weeks. The DT770 I've looked at and I am concerned with how it sounds unamped. Is it good enough to be driven by...- malignant01

Washing SRH840 pads ?
My SRH840 pads (used for SRH 440) are getting smelly. Since fabreeze is unavailable until I go to town next week, more onerous methods will have to do. I read that washing them with hot water and soap could be useful in removing the odor but was concerned if the synthetic leather of the pads...- malignant01

Alright. I guess I'll take a look at some of those mixers. The soundcard I have right now is just the onboard Realtek one. Thing is, I do not require recording. Pretty much all I want to do is to be able to use my headphone to hear my amp-ed guitar and still be able to listen to... -

We are talking about Vox AC30 headphone amp. So it does not have a speaker or cannot output to a speaker. Or even if it could, I wouldnt use a speaker because this is for practice sessions that can be done at midnight. Someone said something about Behringer mixers. Can they do the job ? -

Stereo Audio Extension for Computers to SRH-440
I bought a replacement cable for my one year old Shure SRH-440. Unfortunately the cable is still to short for me to able to use my headphone while lying on the bed.
