My 'failed' order on ALO...Please help~~

I had ordered a cable from ALO last week, and when I placed the order, I got an error message that said the transaction failed and to try again later (I forget the exact wording).  No reason was given for the failed transaction.  I have plenty of room on my Credit Card, so I wouldn't have...

    Newbie Rockbox questions

There is no management software needed for Rockbox. You can easily drag and drop music files on your iMod. I keep each CD I've ripped in a separate folder on my hard drive, and then drag and drop the folders I want to listen to over to my iPod. When you go to play on your Rockbox, just...

    RS1 Owners: question

I've had my RS-1s for about 8 years. For the first couple of years, I would store them in the box after use, and I do not see any wear on mine. I wouldn't worry about laying them flat every time you take them off.

How to get 24 bit onto an iPod?

I've been playing some 24 bit/96 kHz .flac files on my iPod using Rockbox. This is one way you could play them without converting if you have a 5.5 gen iPod or earlier, and aren't opposed to changing the firmware.

5.5g Imod quit running. Now What??

I don't think I've seen the exact problem you are experiencing, but I have had my iPod lock up before, and was able to solve the problem by doing a reboot. If you hold down the menu and the center button for 5 seconds or so, the iPod will reboot. Everything should hopefully return to normal...

How do you archive your music files?

I have about 400 GB of music stored in .flac, and I keep it on my computer in a RAID 5. I also backed that up with a 500 GB external. And if all that fails, I still have all the original discs.
