    dCS Bartok

I have a dCS Bartok, and use Ethernet, which is recommended as the best interface. I find it to be excellent. I am using EQ in Roon which also works perfectly.

Naim Audio Uniti Atom Headphone Edition

I would agree. I had the Chord Dave with the Utopia OG, and it didn’t live up to my expectations. Now I am using the Utopia OG with the AIO Naim HE, and I am very happy. I use a Roon core on a MacBook Air M1, with EQ to bring out the best in this combination. One Box - One Headphone = pure...

Naim Audio Uniti Atom Headphone Edition

I had the Arche, and got really tired of it dropping the USB handshake over and over again. Finally sold it when Focal stopped supporting it. Now I have the HE, and it works like a charm. I love the AIO design and execution.

Naim Audio Uniti Atom Headphone Edition

Lol. I also own the dCS Bartók, and I would agree. This is a great AIO System.

Just bought the Dunu Blanche for my U12t's, so not interested in a trade. Thanks for asking, though.

JHAudio Bluetooth 2/4 Pin Cable Discussion

I have had one of these cables in my drawer for about six months, and just fired it up today: It took two tries to pair to my iPhone X, but the connection seems to be solid now. I can walk around the house and maintain the connection. The Smoky Litz cable is excellent, and the memory wire...

Do let us know how you like the Vivaldi, I had the DAVE, now have the Bartok, and have purposely not listened to the Vivaldi because I don't want to be $educed!

Just did a head to head comparison between the M15 and M20 with my a18Ts on some bass-heavy tracks (Brian Wood: Cantalope Island and Kevin Mahogany; Teach Me Tonight). I found the M20 to be overkill on the bass and a tiny bit muddy. The M15 has plenty of bass for me, and more clarity. Thanks...

ZMF Verite Closed-New Closed Back ZMF Flagship.

Those are beautiful! And they also are my favorite headphones. Having gone through the AKG K1000 + First Watt F1, and the STAX SR009 + BHSE phase, I have found the best-ever sound in the Raal SR1a for (very) open, and the ZMF VCs for closed. For me these are the best ever.

Reply to review by 'tmarshl' on item 'RAAL-requisite SR1a'

Great review. I am using the SR1a's with an SPL s800 power amp (285 watts) at low volume. I have learned from another user to be careful with the volume control, as this is enough power to toast the SR1a's. But the extra power of the s800s allows plenty of grunt to make the SR1a's perform at...

    dCS Bartok

I have found that the best way for me to determine which service is the best is to see which one I reach for most often. As I listen primarily to Jazz and Classical, that would be Qobuz. From a user perspective, the annoyance of having to bypass the hip-hop at the top level of Tidal has made me...

Comment by 'tmarshl' in article 'Head-Fi Buying Guide (Travel Headphones)'

I would agree about the Bose QuietComfort 20. I had trouble keeping them in my ears (I guess I have strange ears) until I found ear-clips that worked with them. These are compatible with the Motorola Elite Flip, and now I have no concerns about having them fall out of my ears...

    dCS Bartok

I am in the process of comparing Tidal MQA to Qobuz Hi-Rez on the Bartok. So far, I would have to say that it varies with the particular album. Some MQA is spectacular. It depends on the recording and mastering. But I will say that having to wade through all of the hip-hop on Tidal (not...
