My portable player (Sony E463) has a 5 band, +/- 3dB equalizer... whatever that means. What does +/- 3dB mean anyway? Does it mean I add 3dB per increment at a given frequency? Or maximum addition of 3dB? (The latter would be kind of silly...) Thank you in advance.
