Anyone saying grados wont benefit from amping / appropriate source is dead wrong. I have a 500 dollar desktop dac/amp setup that blows my mind with all my headphones including the grados.- Translash

Denon AH-D2000 need opinions
I recently acquired a D2K and i gotta say its VERY overhyped on this site, no offense. Sure the bass is stronger than the M50 and the mids are too recessed, which makes it a boring headphone to listen to.- Translash

Do you secretly respect Beats?
Quote: Yea lol I am trying them the mid fi headphones out to see which ones suit me. Not really interested in high fi levels yet because I want to get comfortable in the type of headphones I prefer. So far I can already tell that I dont like the HD 600s. The neutral sound isnt for...- Translash

I hear the HD598 is a more "fun" headphone, it is similar to the nature of the M50s? maybe i can trade the HD600 for HD598s- Translash

Sennheiser HD 600 Impressions Thread
Is tonal balance really enough to give these headphones outstanding ratings? Does it really justify the cost? Pardon me since I'm new I want to appreciate these headphones but I cant :( How can I appreciate these headphones more?- Translash

Sennheiser HD 600 Impressions Thread
Just got a lightly used HD600 last week. Listened to it for only a few minutes and I was completely disappointed. I consider myself a newbie and the only pair of headphoens I have is the ATH-M50, which is a great headphone when I use it with my Fiio e6 amp. The HD600 was so boring to my ears...- Translash

Audio technica m50 with bass amp?
I have the m50 with a fiio e6, a cheap but decent amp by head-fi standards. When I first got the M50 it was very unimpressive out of the headphone jack of my laptop. I previously had cheap JVC HA-RX700's that I got used to and wanted better headphones, and these m50's sounded not much better. ...- Translash

Do you secretly respect Beats?
Beats certainly got me to this forum 3 days ago. Was surprised how crappy the sound was and decided to look for more options. Amazon was no help, so I kept searching and found head-fi.org. Its only been 3 days and im sealing purchases on HD600, Denon AH-D2000, Grado 225, and possibly...- Translash
